today a new Layout for our DT Scrap FX

A man and his best friend

My second favourite theme beside the sea is the vintage style, 

I love the things that are old, because they have a history.

for a rustic altered look

used materials for chipboards

firstly colored with silver metallic paint, then added a little bit rustic acrylic color

finally I used the splash painting technique with Shimmer Mister white 

(only on the cool radio embellishment)

 Art deco embellishments are highly suitable for an vintage altered look

I added a lot of layers  and embellishments on the background, all in light to brown shades

all paperlayers are torn and inked with distress paint

i used some fabric pieces as cheesecloth, burlap, gauze

I'm a modern girl with a big vintage heart and love to use such 

altered photos on Layouts in combination with an industrial vintage look

today a new inspiration for our DT Scrap FX,
 a simple wooden photo frame in chalky vintage look

delicate colors are perfect together with only one beautiful embellishment as framing

Here can you see our sunshine 'Filou' it's a sheltie male dog.

I covered the flourish with white embossing powder

 together with a white acrylic paint dabber

Welcome scrappy fans!

I'm a new member of DT Scrap FX and I'm very happy and proud :-)

My first Layout with the beautiful products from Scrap FX.

It's not new I love the sea and the most beautiful memories
were on relaxing summer vacation days.

Coral stencil

 I added with my fingers some Texture sand paste for the wordlet, let it dry

 and painted it with acrylic yellow color and a little bit white, 

finally I highlighted the sand texture with a blue metallic wax cream

 

on background can you see the fantastic coral stencil and stamp, 

I used only pieces of them 

with archival ink black and white 

and the stencil with white gesso

 

a mixture of  this paint dabbers and acrylic ink 

can you see on the blush embellishment

 with sculpture medium, old first aid kit material,

 some acrylic paints, metallic paint, shells, deco lichens and glue

 I became a new person

Tyvek - Wave

Hallo ihr kreativsüchtigen Freunde!

wie versprochen heute eine neue Idee, was mit Tyvek so alles anstellen kann

 und übrigens vergiften möchte ich euch nicht damit ;-) 

sicherlich ist es eine Art Kunststoffpapier, das beim Erhitzen seine Form verändert und weniger gesundheitsförderliche Dämpfe absetzt. Da es aber nur sehr kurz mit Bügeleisen oder Heißluftfön erhitzt wird, ist die Belastung minimal, einmal ordentlich durchgelüftet,

 sollte man sowieso öfter tun ;-) und es kann weiter gehen.

 Tipps & Tricks mit Tyvek

wie das Papier bemalt und erhitzt werden kann

habe ich euch bereits hier und hier vorgestellt 

zunächst habe ich einfach mit einem flotten Pinselschwung eine Welle 

mit den oben zu sehenden Acrylfarben aufs Papier gebracht

 nun vorsichtig mit dem Heißluftfön erhitzt

anschließend noch ein paar Highlights mit Metallwachs gesetzt,

 das funktioniert immer noch am besten mit den Fingern

 das Ganze noch ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt und voila , fertig war die neue Welle

perfekt ist sie sicher nicht, aber hoffentlich als solche zu erkennen ;-)

 

hier habe ich noch ein paar übrig gebliebene Tyvekreste vom letzten Projekt genutzt, 

weil sie mich irgendwie an den Blasentang in der Ostsee erinnert haben 

somit entstand ein Geschenk , 

für jemand

der genauso ''Meerverrückt'' ist wie ich

und total auf Metalleffekte steht

(die sich leider aber etwas schwierig fotografieren lassen)

Altered bottle - Calypso -

Welcome my new and old followers!

It's not new, I love the sea, forever and ever!

und ich bin ein großer ''Fluch der Karibik'' -  Fan, inzwischen Schnee von gestern ;-)?!

nein, für mich nicht!!!

obwohl der 5. Teil ist in Arbeit (ups ist das jetzt Schleichwerbung ;-) ???)

warum erzähle ich das jetzt????

genau, aus dem 3. Teil stammt heute meine Inspiration 

Calypso (Tia Dalma), die Göttin des Meeres immer unstet und launisch, 

aber auch unheimlich faszinierend und geheimnisvoll!

 

 

Aus Anlass des heutigen Tages habe ich sie mir zum Geschenk gemacht und meine 

Sea Home decoration Sammlung um ein weiteres Stück erweitert.

Tipps & Tricks mit Sculpture Medium (Dekofestiger)

mit alten T- Shirtstoffresten, Mullbinde und dem Sculpture Medium, umrahmte ich den Kopf

nachdem man die Stoffreste mit diesem Medium eingestrichen hat 

ist es immer gar nicht so leicht zu warten, 

(leider bin ich auch eine sogenannte 'Miss Ungeduld') ,

 also mindestens über Nacht, besser noch länger !

man kann es auch mit dem Heißluftfön beschleunigen, dafür

 fixiere ich den Stoff zusätzlich noch mit Stecknadeln, 

so bleibt die zurecht gelegte Form besser erhalten

 

nachdem der Stoff vollständig durchgetrocknet war, 

habe ich ihn mit Acrylfarbe, Pinsel und wenig Wasser bemalt

die Fluids von DecoArt sind wegen ihrer sehr guten Pigmentierung

dafür gut geeignet

Ich hoffe, es gibt auch einige (viele ;-) ? ) unter euch, 

die von der Meereswelt ähnlich fasziniert sind wie ich!

a lot of chippies and the most important tool ever ?

The crane dance

Hi friends!

Every year, the lively dance steps of the resting cranes attract huge crowds

of spectators. 

I saw it on the Baltic sea and I can say it's really majestic and magic!

I wanted to try necessarily new sculpture medium in connection with Archival cast (figureheads)
from Prima
that's my first result

I hope you can see the fabric around the figurehead 

and the inked fabric (green, yellow under the photo)

you need patience until the material is dry

but it creates wonderful 3D effects!
