Vision

Hi crafty friends!

Today a new inspiration with the latest awesome products from Scrap FX.
I'm  a big fan of mixed media projects, you can mixed so many various materials such like this wonderful chipboards, spray colours, textured, fabric and old book paper leftovers, stencils, stamps and cutting dies - always a lot of possibilities.
I upcycle a wooden house into a new home decoration piece.
I was inspired from the phrase and cool looking eyes on the transparency,
very suitable for a new gift in industrial grunge style.

Balloon Time for Calico Craft Parts

Hello crafty friends!

The time is right for another inspiration with a new amazing multi-frame from Calico Craft Parts.
There are a lot of beautiful multi-frames on a variety of themes, such as Steampunk, Autumn, Halloween and others.
You can use them on all flat surfaces as photo frame,
for sayings or to display special ephemera.

I was inspired to create a new (old) shadow frame. I love the vintage style with a touch of steampunk, so my aim was to create a weathered and stained look.
My friends know that I have a liking for 3D effects,
because they always create their own liveliness and mood.

more details and how I create this 3D Balloon effect

can you find here

Frilly and Funkie - All creatures great and small
I'm a big dog lover, but my own isn't seen here ;-)

Thanks for your visit!
Happy weekend!

Sunflowers for Maja Design

Hello Maja friends!

The sunflowers are blooming in my garden, a wonderful flower - beautiful and useful at the same time. They radiated stronger than the sun and provide the birds with plenty of food in winter. Mostly they grow by themselves and only need a support or neighbor's garden fence.

I was inspired to create mixed media layout with autumn feelings and so I used  a lot of leaves dies, stamps and fabric textures. The autumn colours based on spray inks in yellow, white and brown shades.
The Monochrome paper sheet 'Old Brass' from the Shades of Celebration collection
was very suitable for it.
I'm always in love with the amazing motif papers from Maja Design,
but if you want to develop artistically completely free, the monochrome papers are perfect,
because you can hide nothing with your own personal design.
You know what I mean?!

 some details

I love the natural look, not perfect but unique,
just like outside in the garden and in the great outdoors.

I hope my layout was able to get you into the fall
and inspire you to play with the wonderful papers again.

More than Words - Sunshine & Yellow
I love sunflowers, because
they shine wonderfully yellow and warm
and give you a good feeling

Have a beautiful time!

Artsy fishes with 3D effect

Welcome crafty friends!

Today a new inspiration with an awesome stamp from Scrap FX.
It's a mixed media canvas with two stamped fishes in black and white
which look like Ying and Yang .

The background was made with white crackle paste, black and white acrylic colour
and some stencils.

 some details

stamped with black Archival ink pad on watercolour paper

another fish was made with the second reprint

both were cut out and worked with the same technique as seen on the next project

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My second inspiration is a cover for a new planner.

 some details

I stamped the Koi fish on a watercolor paper and used some distress inks for painting and a black fineliner  for some accents.

The fins were additionally covered with Crackle glaze transparent.
Then I cut out the fish, the fins were slightly cut to shape it better with the help of a pencil.

 and transparent glass beads

Nemo's Memories - Octopus En Vogue

Hello crafty friends!

Today I would like to introduce another special wooden shape of the Sea & Marine creatures series.
It's the Gigant Sea Octopus  he has a lot of awesome engraved details and a very special look. It reminds me on the adventures from Captain Nemo, a very famous fictional character by Jules Verne.
I created a book shadow box in steampunk style, the inner part can you see at a later time.

Having learned from the experiences on my last project with the awesome Anchor Collage,
this time I have deliberately not painted but only wiped the octopus craft part with white and green patina Antiquing Creams  so the piece stands out better from the dark background.

more details can you find

 here

I hope I can inspire you to create your very own handmade project in your individuel style.

Thanks for your visit!
Enjoy your day!

Autumn Time

Welcome friends!

I'm back with a new inspiration for Maja Design :-)

Fall is knocking on your door, finally, you feel like saying, after months of heat and drought.
At the begin of September, the summer heat gradually gives way to cooler autumn time,
which cobers the landscape in spectacular wonderful colours.
Time to walk in the woods and rustle through the foliage.

I used a background paper 'Autumn in the air' from the collection  'Walking in the forest'. I love this wonderful golden autumn colours with delicate leaves motifs, Simply adorable!!
In addition I used some Sizzix dies, flowers and embellishments from 49 and Market, wooden shapes from Calico Craft Parts and a lace and frame which was made with silicone moulds.

some close up's

 Have a wonderful time!
