Review 2018 - Calico Craft Parts Top 3

Welcome crafty friends!

An eventful year lies behind us and a certainly exciting year 2019 lies ahead.

The right time for an short review.
Now I have been a design team member at Calico Craft Parts for 7 months,
time flies by, luckily the ideas never went out and I am still with a lot of joy and energy.

Door hanger -  Out of Order

Our summer was very hot and
the yearning for a cool and relaxing place was very big. Whenever I see this project, I think of fresh sea breezes, delicious ice cream and a wonderful beach life.

 Altered Frame - Balloon Time

I love the vintage style, everything is a bit dated, is not noticed by many and has so many stories to tell.
Old faded colors, torn structures and as a special eye-catcher, a balloon in 3D optics.

Shadow Box - Nemo's Memories

I'm sure you know the awesome stories from Jules Verne with Captain Nemo under the sea.  I will always be an avid fan of the marine world, fascination and adventure at the same time, and with all the wonderful wooden shapes to discover here, it's always an exciting adventure to put new ideas into projects.

If you do need any further inspiration, then look no further than our blog to see all the wonderful creations from all the very talented Design Team members.
Thank you for stopping by today, and many thanks to everyone who took the time to leave me a comment on all past posts shared ... it means a lot for me!
A special thanks goes to my friend Claudia for your translation help, unfortunately, English isn't my native language, so please don't be surprised today, perhaps a little bit weird mode of expression, I have prescribed Claudia vacation :-)

Hope you've all had a great time and looking forward
to the next exciting year 2019!

Christmas Wishes

Welcome!

Today I will share with you a mixed media layout in form of a big gift combined
with the best wishes for a peaceful, harmonious and cozy Christmas
in the circle of your loved ones.

I had this idea when I saw the paper with the elegant lady
sitting comfortably on a mountain with presents.

used Maja Design papers

I also used some christmas themed cutting dies (candles, pine branches, christmas stockings, lace)
and an awesome christmas tree chipboard from Dusty Attic

Minialbum Merry Christmas

Hello friends!

Today a new inspiration for Calico Craft Parts.
It's a minialbum and can be used as a very special christmas card
with a photo from your childs, pets or whatever you wants.

 used Calico Craft Parts products:

House Shape Greyboard Mixed Media Board - Style 12
 Size: 200mm x 156mm,  Size: 150mm x 117mm

some close up's

I used two various sizes for this minialbum
and I have connected them with a flexible paper snow star

The snowflake was created using a cutting die -
punched out two times and glued to both fronts  of the houses

that's the side where you can write your wishes
''It's christmas time in the heart
that puts Christmas in the air ''

  Seasons greetings!

Let it Snow for Maja Design

Hello crafty friends!

It got cold, the first snow starts falling, icicles on the roofs and will make
our world a little bit quieter and slower.
Winter time is sledding time too.
I loved that as I was a child, today I'm a 'Frostbeule' ;-)
and what could be better than sitting in a small warm dreamy winter cottage
and watching the snow fall softly to the ground.
The children are romping in the snow and inside a fireplace crackles, wonderful!

Wish YOU - for SASPC

Welcome crafty friends!

The time has come again, the Advent season is just around the corner, but we have not really coped with the hot summer. The first sunday of Advent, the right time for christmas wishes .

I was inspired to make a MDF - Tag in mixed media style with a grunge touch of Steampunk.

Our challenge theme for November and December is the usual
Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

and of course a project that combines X-mas with steampunk or industrial style is more than welcome too ;)
And as it is a two months long challenge you are allowed to enter up to five projects instead of just the usual three!

 some details

a small wish roll from torned craft paper attached to a toothpick with two small metal gears
inkpot and pen are 3D sticker from La Blanche

a lucky beetle with two antennas that are always on reception

two candles who want to shed light into the darkness of our time.

I hope this little tag can inspire you to create your own idea and project!

I wish you and your families a peaceful Advent season!

Little winter cottage for Calico Craft Parts

Welcome!

The first Advent is just around the corner and the time for Christmas preparations begins.

Most important to us are always the many lights to make the dark season more enjoyable.
But Christmas also has a lot to do with romance and cosiness.
And what could be better than sitting in a small warm dreamy winter cottage and watching the snow fall softly to the ground.
The children are romping in the snow and inside a fireplace crackles.

That were my thoughts behind this new project.
