Scary Night

Hello creative friends!

Announcing this year's most scary night - yes, it's time for Halloween,
but not those nasty bloody monster stories,
I love mystical and imaginative tales and so I was inspired
to create a new Halloween mixed media canvas.

...Once upon in a cold, gloomy night when a strange light

appeared behind the tombstone.

Who drove his mischief there??? ...

some details

bar on the gravestone creates a 3D effect and was made with a leftover from

Broken Bits #6 - Grid 1

I love to use the Movers and Shapers Headstone (Sizzix die) for a real stone look.
I created with texture paste or fine deco sand and finally dry brushed with white Gesso.

I love this old amazing strongly branched tree

Bare Tree #2

and used  only a part of the whole tree

for an old weathered wooden look I used white crackle paint on some places
and a little bit rust and black acrylic paint

some of the new

Toadstools #2

painted with diluted silver acrylic paint and highlighted with texture paste

used Dusty Attic chipboards

Pumpkin Skull Tag

Welcome!

As I saw one of the latest awesome wooden shapes

from Calico Craft Parts
in the Halloween and Autumn section

I was inspired to create a new Halloween tag in mixed media style.

some details

You know my faible for 3D effects?!, nothing works without :-)

Tip

little candles were made with some leftovers from a structure paper, hot glue gun
and inked with black acrylic paint, a very easy and fast technique
but with a great effect!!

Beware - Dark Times

Hello friends!

There are times when you're just shocked, stunned and speechless.
But that's part of life, too, and somehow you have to deal with it.

I like to flee into the creative world to express my feelings.

 - The greater the artist, the greater the doubt

leap and the net will appear -

I'm afraid for this dream dancer the net was too far away or just not big enough!

At first sight only a Halloween shadow box in mixed media style
but for me it means more.
A little bit crazy and macabre and maybe hard to understand, but this headstone

(T. Holtz Alteration cutting die from the section - Oldie but Goldie - )

is meant to instill courage and hope for me in dark times.

some details

Feel free to ask me, if you have some questions how I created this shadow box!

Mushroom Season

Hello friends!

Autumn is mushroom season and after this very hot and dry summer no one would have guessed that you could find any. But since they are already growing in my garden, although I didn't grow them at all, the chances were very good. Extensive walks in the woods with the dog and then a basket with mushrooms, simply wonderful!

 some details

the mushroom search was so exhausting that he had to sit down
and didn't you see suddenly his magic hat had disappeared

At the last trade fair we made some mushrooms of egg carton with our children.
They made enthusiastically fly mushrooms, that seemed contagious
and so I tried another variant myself.

Happy crafting time!

Haunted House

Hello creative friends!

Have you seen our newest sensation???

It's a very awesome 3D Kit from Calico Craft Parts,
easy and simple to assemble and you will have such a lot of varieties
to create this house,

I think not only for Halloween,
without the graceyard
it's also perfect for a wonderful romantic Christmas/ Winterhouse.

more details can you find here

the rear part of the house is open
and so you can easily put an electric tea light in it

Pure Magic !!!

I hope I could inspire you to try it yourself,
to create this house was a great pleasure and a lot of fun for me!

It's an mystic eyecatcher on every table or on a shelf.

Let it bubble

Welcome!

October has begun and a new inspiration it's on the agenda.

As usual to the theme Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

Halloween is just around the corner and I'm mercilessly addicted to the Halloween virus :-).
I love this new cutting dies from Sizzix, on this canvas I used the awesome Bigz 'Cauldron'
and some another dies like the 'Cobweb' and the 'Tree line'.
