Coffee Time with March Moodboard Dusty Attic

Welcome creative friends!

Our monthly Moodboard is an absolutely wonderful inspiration,
it goes with all vintage themes, but also with special themes
like coffee, chocolate, memories with friends at a cosy coffee break
and much more ....

I'm a big fan of monochrome colour themes,
and decided on the coffee theme,
because a cup of coffee is full of happiness, right ?! 😀

I created a mixed media layout for a canvas
and worked with several papers, stamps, stencil, flowers,
real coffee beans, powder and some suitable chipboards,
used also a Mini tea set, omg
but you can also drink coffee from it, promise 😉😀

Chipboards were primed with black gesso and after drying

stamped with white stamping ink and a small script motif.

Love the crazy stitching shapes, they give a very special look

and you don't need to get out the sewing machine.

Springdecor with MDF shapes

 Hello everyone!

Today a new Home decor inspiration,
worked with an amazing Shrine Kit.

After a simple assembly and gluing of the kit,
I applied a white crackle paint.
Love the weathered look, not perfect, but unique.
I was not afraid to break single parts into several pieces,
fern now fits perfectly on the corner
and a part of the daffodil wreath now crowns the shrine.

Snowdrops with Dusty Attic

Welcome creative friends!

First snowdrops are blooming in the garden,
the best sign that spring will soon be here.
But ice and snow are still drifting across the country in cold showers.
I have used these impressions of nature
in the following mixed media layout.

I worked only with white gesso and added some synthetic snowflakes to the chippies.
I also used die-cuts, which together with the chipboards bring more
vividness and fullness to the layout.

As with my last winter layout, 'Magic frost Flowers',
I dipped all the berries, deer and icicles chipboards  in liquid white acrylic paint
and then sprinkled with artificial snow
to give them a  quick and easy frosty look.

Secret Garden - Home Decor

 Hello everyone!

Spring begins today, at least the meteorological kind 😀.
Time to look forward to the garden again.

Today I created a mixed media piece for the home decor,
combining MDF shapes with castings from moulds.
Flat parts together with the 3d casts (made with air drying modeling clay)
 create a very lively image,
love that.

Chose two oval mixed shape as the base
the lower larger form was painted with some texture paste
and green acrylic paint.
Upper one received a crackling varnish in combination
 with beige acrylic paint.

Window was primed with crackle medium and covered with several layers
of acrylic paint to achieve a weathered look.

I put a photo behind the window, it should make you want
to work in the garden again.
