DT Scraps of Darkness - Imagine

Hello !

My latest romantic layout in vintage style for our Scraps of Darkness Team.

Some years ago I was in Paris, a wonderful main town in Europe/France.
One of many nice things you can do there is to enjoy a coffee
in a small bistro on the street.
As I saw this beautiful old vintage photo I reminded me on this
and was inspired to make a layout to my favourite daydream.

I used again the beautiful 'Our story ' kit with a background paper
from the new Love clippings collection (Prima Marketing)

-Imagine- from the Bo Bunny Foil Transfers, also as negative used

Our march challenge theme here is to alter a chipboard, there are many opportunities to do that.
I works often with white embossing powder
and when you inked your chipboard only on few places, not
everywhere,  you will see a timeworn look as altered effect
 Easy and fast!

cut out's from the 3x4 Journaling Notecards

some letters from Kaisercraft with white embossing powder
and some stars from the Bo Bunny Foil Transfers

wonderful flowers from the Floral Add On,

flowers and lace were inked with Lindy's Stamp Gang Milk Chocolate Shimmer Powder
and a little bit water, that's really always a surprise when you see this magical effect

CSI No 225
Evidence: Stripes, Animals, Wings, Stars
Testimony: Daydreaming on paper, insp. words fly, impossible, dream

You can find our kits to purchase here,
and we have also a very inspiring  Facebook group here,
where we love to see everyone's work with our kits.

Rusty Fantasies

Welcome everybody!

A new project for our  Steampunk DT
with the monthly theme
Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

I myself really enjoy trying out new things and examining
everything from different angles.
My latest tests were exercises with rust and various structures.
There are so many opportunities for rusty looks in crafty land .

That was a try only with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics.
Quinacridone Gold, Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide,
Transparent Red iron Oxide, Carbon Black and Burnt Umber

Here I used a canvas as basic, corrugated cardboard, cheesecloth,
Art sugar and 3D balls in background as texture elements.

firstly a starfish, then a plaster face and some parts from a barock frame,
which were made with a mould
some shells and a little star above that

a chipboard which was embossed with a gear folder

some gears in background (die cuts)

Hopefully you will now feel even more inspired to create your own Steampunk project.
I really enjoyed working on mine!!!
Many thanks for stopping by!
Happy crafting!

DT Scraps of Darkness - Little Ballerina

Welcome!

I was inspired from this beautiful words
- Art is a never ending story of illusions - , yes that's a true saying for me.

A little ballerina dreams of a future in the limelight.
This dream can come true, who knows that?
however, she loves the music and to dance.

I decided to used a background paper from the Prima Love clipping collection,
lovely paints for a romantic little princess layout.

some details

some stars from the BoBunny Copper Accents Foil Transfers Rub-Ons
 included in the Elements Add-On

I also used this beautiful dew drop background stamp
for the background and some leftovers from the notecards from this new Prima collection

ART letters - I colored the Kaisercraft chipboard letters
with a embossing powder in copper/ black shades

silk ribbon was perfect suitable to all this smart colours
and I added as highlight the 3 little metal hearts

Hello sunshine :-)

Welcome!

- We love March
cause Spring is almost in the air -

Yesterday was the first spring day here,
15°C and a lot of sunshine
beautifully!!
but we have only the first beginning of spring
and today it's gray again.
Thatswhy I thought, make a fast & easy home decor project,
where you can smile and remember on sunny
 days.
- A wooden plaque in vintage style -
soft springtime colors, weathered look and an optimistic feeling

I used a chalky finish paint as background
together with some splatters from a Tattered Angles
 'Chocolat' Glimmer Mist Spray.

a cutout from an old vintage photo and from magazines
 (snowdrop, bluetit), burlap, structure pearls,
flowers, dies (branches, butterflies) and embellishments

my new embossing powder 'Charred Gold' from Emerald Creek Dare
is really an eyecatcher,
I love this great marble effect,
can you see this?

Have fun and let move into springtime!

and if you need more inspirations
we have a beautiful March Challenge Moodboard
on Canvas Corps Brands
have a look to our Rebirth Theme

ATC in Vintagestyle

Welcome!

I was inspired from the Prima 'Love Clippings collection' in this kit
and I thought this notecards are a perfect background
for a set of four Artist Trading cards (ATC).
It's one of my first tries with this amazing little size.

I created a very romantic set in vintage style and added some old photo cutout's,
the suitable chipboards (Blue Fern Studios) , butterflies dies,
some pieces of lace and gauze, bookpaper and all were only leftovers.
You need no more for this format.

you can use the notecards as basic , but also for some cutouts,
here the little roses with a clock face

clear stamps from Bella are really magic,
I think as water or dew drops for a lovely effect on your background

on the right side you can see a rub on from Prima from our January kit,
 a metallic foil accent

as well as on my last layout
I used the beautiful Magical powder from Lindys Stamp Gang
for a small gauze
it gives a wonderful altered effect

Many thanks for your visit!
Happy weekend!
