Spring is in the air for Maja Design

Welcome!

Today a new layout in delicate colours of spring. I was inspired from our new March Moodboard at Maja Design. Wonderful cherry blossoms and an enchanting smile that welcomes the spring, simply marvellous!

I used some papers from the beautiful spring paper collection 'Vintage Spring Basics'
as background '1st of May' and some other's '6th + 7th of May'.

Lucky is a star of mind

Welcome everybody!

I'm back with a new inspiration for you.
So let's start with our monthly challenge at SASPC
- it is - as usual - an

themed challenge and all kinds of projects (except digitally created ones) are welcome!
So show us your tags, cards, art journal pages, canvases,
 altered objects, drawings, paintings, sketches....
whatever you're up to as long as it fits our challenge themes
steampunk or industrial.

I was inspired to create another mixed media project.
I was very impressed by the last lunar eclipse, a wonderful inspiration.

I cut a half moon out of corrugated cardboard and then embossed it
with a Sizzix Embossing folder, that was my basic.
Then I colored the moon with metalic color,
the edges of the moon were painted with texture paste,
over it came black gesso (all products from DecoArt).
Now it was time to decorate, I used  cutting dies, metal embellishments,
chipboards from Boozybear and paperdolls (T. Holtz).
Finally the surfaces were treated with Metallic Lustre 'Black Shimmer + 'Silver (DecoArt).

used materials from DecoArt

A Vintage Journey
Celebrate the journey - Happy Birthday

Wow!!  5 years it is already, a time full of inspirations and suggestions, which I enjoyed very much. Congratulations and a big thank you for all the detailed instructions.

I love to try out ideas and also like to take myself into the world of fantasy.
Today my project shows a creative fantasy journey to the moon in industrial grunge style, but it also contains an important saying for me, namely to go other ways when the real one doesn't work. Especially in crafting as well as in real life there is never only one way the right one.
My best wishes for the next years! xx

Sugary sweet for Dusty Attic

Welcome friends!

I know it's very hot in Australia at the moment,
so a cooling inspiration might be just the thing?!

We have winter time.
Unfortunately, all too often only grey and wet, but when it snows,
the landscape is enchanted, a real winter wonderland.
So I decided to create a layout in a wintry magical mood.

some details

I love this black Mini Tabs
because it's always a very good contrast and suits to all styles of scrap

I love the idea of layered chippies Layered garland , I painted the lower part with a dark gray and the upper part with a light gray metallic paint.
I added also some  Branches  embossed with a brown embossing powder.

here can you see a Mini lantern
for that I used a very special embossing powder 'Hammered Metal'

I splited the Grass border #1 in several pieces, two of them can you see on the left side

I covered the chipboard with two colours (White, Grey) and  used paint daubers to sponge onto the shape, which gives an interesting mottled effect.

Winteralbum Part 2

Hello everybody!

How I promised today the second part of my latest minialbum in wintery mood.
I love this handmade album where I collect not only some
amazing photos from our sunshine doggie 'Filou',
but also it's a very good possibility to work with some small wooden shapes
in connection with some natural material and leftovers (Denim, knitted wool).
I also used some cutting dies, stencils, stamps
and some papers from Maja Design from my stuff.

a winter tree silhouette in background made with a cutting die from Sizzix,
where I used the negative form

round winter photos in a frame of wooden paper

a moon made with structure paper, in background a silver skeleton leave

 used Calico Craft Parts

editing tips:
  • the deers were firstly coloured with Metallic Acrylic Paint 'Rich Espresso' from DecoArt
  • and dried with a hot air blower until it forms bubbles
  • dry brush technique with white gesso
  • a tree in original condition glued on a white feather

Many thanks for your visit!

Happy weekend!

Time for Chocolate

Hello!

What can be better as a big cup of hot chocolate in this cold season?!

I was inspired to create a vintage layout to my favourite theme - Chocolate -
because ''She doesn't ask silly questions, chocolate understands'' ;-)

Suitable to this theme I used the Maja Design paper collection 'Fika'
here can you find some wonderful shades of brown papers
in combination with the right motifs as cups, muffins, teapots and much more
