Bicycle Tours for Dusty Attic

Welcome everyone!

It's springtime here and just the right time to go on a bicycle tours.
Especially in spring when the fruit trees blossom,
is driving through our countryside
wonderful. Simply out into the countryside, take a picnic with you,
lie on the meadow and listen to the birds singing, an absolute relaxation programme.

As I saw our May Moodboard I thought on bly sky, blossoming cherry trees

and beautiful green meadows.

Suitable to our fresh and bright May Moodboard I choose a paper
from the Maja Design 'Vintage Springtime Basics' Collection as background.

some close up's

the Heraldry Motif was a perfect picture frame for me
I used the larger part as upper boundary
and the narrower part as lower boundary of the photo

chipboards were first primed with white gesso
and some texture paste and then painted with two blue tones

I love this very romantic and nostalgic Vintage Clock #1
for an old wheathered look I only use a white Acrylic Paint Dabber on some places
and added some embellishments.

My  teamies at Dusty Attic Design DT have come up with many

inspiring and different versions
on this May Moodboard theme.

Acryl Pouring with Calico Craft Parts

Welcome!

Today a new inspiration project for Calico Craft Parts,
it's a wooden tag, where I also used two elements (moon and tree)
made with silicone moulds and
Acrylic sealing compound from the DIY store.

Now I have finally tried out this trend-setting Acrylic Pouring Technique.

I worked with DecoArt Pouring Medium and the Puddle Pour method.
I used only three colours: white, black and Metallic paint 'Silver' from DecoArt.

more details can you find here

I hope you like this new inspiration.

Happy crafting!

I used only three colours: white, black and Metallic paint 'Silver' from DecoArt.

After a longer drying time
I also used some amazing wooden parts 'Balloons' from Calico Craft Parts,
silver Sticker letters and a favourite stencil of mine 'Wildflowers' (DecoArt).

Make a Wish for Dusty Attic

Welcome creative friends!

I was inspired to create a masculine vintage layout
in grunge style with a touch of steampunk.

Besides the amazing industrial chipboards I also used this great Distress Grid Stencil

as background motif behind the main cluster in the centre of this layout.
I use this stencil very often because it's always very suitable for masculine scrabooking layouts and mixed media projects too.

more details can you see here

some close up's

was painted with some Fluid Acrylics (DecoArt Media)
'Carbon Black' 'Burnt Umber' 'Burnt Sienna'

in the still wet colour I sprinkled at some places silver deco sand with a slight mica effect

and  Industrial dragonfly I used an embossing powder with special effect 'Hammerd Metal'

I always love to use the leftovers as picture frames too

Flowery memories for Dusty Attic

Welcome friends!

As I saw our colourful Moodboard for April I remembered on a wonderful vaccation in Madeira some years ago. It is a beautiful island situated in the north Atlantic Ocean.

We visited the Flower Festival in spring.
There was an enchanting flower parade, where people danced happily through the streets.
A sea of colours, shapes and scents, simply unforgettably beautiful.

I used this amazing frame Decorative Frame #5 for a photo collage
where I put together several individual pictures to a new image.

Suitable to our April Moodboard I choose a paper
from the Maja Design 'Vintage Summer Basics' Collection as background.
some close up's

a captured moment a part of  Mini captions #11

here I only used two Metallic waxes with my fingers
firstly 'Gold Rush' and on the edges 'Black Shimmer' (DecoArt)

Decorative Frame #5 was primed with white gesso and then colored with
diluted acrylic paint in several shades of green
after drying stamped with Archival black ink and a script stamp
and finally also inked around the edges with Metallic Lustre 'Black Shimmer'

Foliage #15 was painted with a little bit light green and gold
some of the leaves were primed with Heavy Gel Medium
and coated with Mini Art Stones

underneath  Scroll Set #2 and Foliage #12
painted with some delicate acrylic colours

Springtime Tag with 3D shelf

Welcome!

I was inspired to create a spring surprise gift for a friend.

It's a big mixed media tag in  wheathered wood style,
with a monochrome colour scheme but  many structures and textures.
The special thing about it is the small 3D shelf I've built in front of the door
 on which the rabbit sits.

more details and how I made this 3D shelf
can you find

I wish you all a very Happy Easter

with many colourful eggs and a lot of sunshine!

Happy Easter for Maja Design

Hello creative friends!

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout in vintage suitable to the upcoming Easter days.

I used some beautiful papers from the 'Vintage Spring Basics' Collection.
7th of April as basic paper and added with some cut out's and stripes from
6th of May, 10th of March and 2nd of April.

I always love it to use some chipboards from Dusty Attic
and some natural materials such like feathers, sisal and willow catkins.

With a little easter bunny hidden in a easter nest
I wish you all a very Happy Easter with a lot of creative colourful easter eggs!

Sunny and restful holidays creative friends!
