Evening by the sea for Dusty Attic

Hello creative friends!

A new moodboard which reminds me on beautiful sunset's by the sea.

'Evening by the Sea'
I use two photo's from the Baltic sea, where I love to spend our holidays.
There are no palm trees but a beautiful sandy beach where you can walk with your dog for hours.
This is true recreation and pure relaxation for us.

Unfortunately we can't go there every year and so I like to remember this time while doing handicrafts. This is one of the reasons why I love scrapbooking so much.
The use of Dusty Attic chipboards make the projects more vivid and interesting.

You can find a lot of natural style elements under Beach, Fishing, Nautical and Tropical.

Halloween season is started

Hello creative friends!

The best means against heat for me - The Halloween season is open :-),

from today on I will publish a new Halloween project every week.
I love this funny spook, a lot of fantasy, in a dark foggy robe.

I started off with a little Tag where I was inspired by the
new Tim Holtz Halloween Thinlits and some awesome stamps from Stampers Anonymous.

The stamps were a very big surprise from my creative friend Claudia
a Big SCHMATZ my dear :-)

I love this balancing act and the awesome sayings on it, I thought it will still be used very often.
Today on a silver moon, a creative flash of lightning strikes and he is literally electrified
 and infected with the Halloweenvirus.

Tips & Tricks

1. I used silver metallic paper as moon background and embossed the stamped spiderweb with white embossing powder

2. The flash was created with a cutting die, I dismantled the branches into several pieces and put them together again, afterwards I painted over the lightning with Neon Lights

3. I tried the new Galaxy glitter from Decoart (Black Hole) and was amazed about the magical effect it looks like a starlight sky

Let your imagination run free!

Your smile for Dusty Attic

Hello everyone!

High summer temperatures  and we are only sweating and moaning,
every thought of the sea provides cooling and relaxation.
I was inspired to create a sea mixed media layout in cool and refreshing colours.

I used a blue neutral background paper and designed the background with a bubble stencil and a white acrylic and blue chalky spray so it looks like a foaming sea.
I discovered this beautiful sailing ship in an old advertisement,
and suitable I chose a round cutting die for the photos.

I love old lighthouses and so I created
a wheathered look with crackle textures and distress inks.

Used Dusty Attic chipboards
