Time Flies - Mixed Media Tag

Hello  creative friends!

It's time for a new inspiration with some wooden shapes from Calico Craft Parts.

 I know I know the Halloween theme is history, that's a pity :-)

I love to think out of the box,
but why shouldn't it be possible to use these hands from the Halloween section
 for grungy projects of all kinds?!

 

As I saw one of the latest awesome MDF Add On Sheets

I was inspired to create a new mixed media tag in a grunge weathered wooden style.

The hands were perfect for my theme, how often we wish we could stop the time
 in very special moments.

Playing Dogs

Hello creative friends!

Today a new layout which reminds me on a wonderful summer time at the beach.

We were often at the dog beach and all darlings were there totally enthusiastic
 and fully in their element.

 I have used some gorgeous new release dog chippies

 to complete my natural embellishing of the layout.

One of my favourite techniques to painting chipboards is  to use the ombre effect.

I begun with a dark blue acrylic paint, then a middle blue and a very softly blue shades

The colours should be similar in strength to achieve the ombre look,

apply the colours one after the other and blur with a wet brush.

a base coat with white acrylic paint to keep colors bold is always recommended

and also did a little dry brushing of white gesso over the top

with a simple frame the layout gets a face
and can be used as a new home decoration on the wall

Snow much Fun - Mixed Media Card

Hello!

Today a very funny card against the November blues.

I was inspired from the upcycling idea, 

always a very exciting theme and I love unconventional ideas!

I love to create with various textures and structure in mixed media style. 

I used the amazing cutting die ' Snowman Blueprint' , Bigz die 'Branches' (Sizzix Tim Holtz Alteration),  an old seeding wooden sign and some leftovers from a wallpaper.

Autumn impressions DT Maja Design

Hello dear creative friends!

I love it to let me inspire from the nature and the seasons with all what this time make me very special for me. 

In the autumn time we were often in the forest and collected mushrooms, surprisingly there were even some. 

I love this autumn mood in the forest, everything is wrapped in a special light, slightly veiled, mysterious and on particularly beautiful days you can also see the hot-air balloons in the sky, for which our dog always has great respect, because they make such strange noises for him.

Apothecary 'Nightshade'

Hello dear creative friends!

It's time for a new inspiration with some wooden shapes from Calico Craft Parts.

 I know Halloween is over but this pharmacy is open all year round. 

The aches and pains do not diminish with age and 

hardly anyone is spared the trip to the apothecary.

Fortunately, Mother Nature also provides us with plenty of effective remedies,

 so that we don't always have to try to manage with chemical cocktail mixtures.

Get well soon card

Hi dear creative friends!

Today a Thinking of You card.

I was inspired to use one of the stamps from the STAMPtember Tim Holtz set 2019.

I think they are also very awesome and useful for all cards

 to put a smile on people's faces.

He is ill, the poor guy, his ears are glowing, 

the nose is all red and running like a waterfall.

Diagnosis: Male Flu ;-)
