Beach Rules DT Moodboard Dusty Attic

Welcome creative friends!

Today a new inspiration for our delightful March Moodboard by Dusty Attic

It reminds me on restful hours by the sea last summer. Can you hear the sound of the sea?
We just love to walk along the beach and see what the sea washes ashore.

Tips & Tricks

Today I want to share with you, how many possibilities there are
to work with only one frame

Squiggly Frame #6

here I used only the inner part from

actually only the rest is left, but you can split it in the middle
and use it as a filigree layer under the frame

A true gentlemen DT Maja Design

Welcome creative friends!

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout in vintage grunge style.
It's a scrapbook page for a boy with
one of my favourite collections 'Denim & Friends'.

I used the paper sheet 'Worn Indigo' as background, a fantastic colour shade it looks like original Blue Jeans  and some leftovers from the paper sheets 'Jeans and Shirt and 'Sunbleached'.

Shadowbox Country Life DT Calico Craft Parts

Hello creative friends!

I was inspired to create a new home decor piece suitable to
my spring shabby chic decoration this year.

It's a wooden box with a inner life in altered art.
I love the vintage look because the parts becomes a very unique used touch,
they didn't look so expressionless and cold.

With only a few means, a stamp, distress ink, old bookpages, some fabric leftovers
and sisal my little chicken farm was quickly completed.

I was amazed as I discovered this beautiful chickens here and could hardly decide
in which colours I should paint them now, because there are so many kinds of chicken.

Many thanks for your visit!

Happy weekend!

Coffee Time DT Maja Design

Hello creative friends!

I'm back with a new inspiration for you,
it's a vintage layout with our latest very romantic paper collection

I used the paper sheet 'Meeting friends' together with a monochrome paper 'Vanilla' as background and some cut outs from 'Die cut'.  Matching the vintage theme I added some chipboards from Dusty Attic, some remnants of lace, old book pages and some Prima Marketing metal embellishments and flowers to the mixed media layout.

a wonderful aroma emanates from the coffee cup makes with a flourish chipboard

Happiness is a cup of coffee or chocolate???
preferably with a delicious homemade cake, or?!

Wish you a happy time!

Moments in Time DT SASPC

Hello!

Our March challenge is, as usual...

We welcome all types of projects (except digitally created) and encourage everyone to join us each month, whether this is your very first make, or you are an experienced maker, and share your creations. Show us your tags, cards, canvas, Artist Trading Cards/Coins, art journal, altered objects - whatever you can imaging that fits our steampunk/industrial theme. We are in awe of your creative imaginations and use of materials, and look forward to each challenge to see where your creative muse took you.

I was inspired to create a new mixed media Art Journal page with a lot of textures and structures.
and  I really wanted to try my new soft mould 'Time Machine' from Stamperia.

Tips & Tricks

you can use various basic materials,
Soft Clay Extra light from Stamperia is recommended

But I had heard that it can also work with acrylic groove sealant from the DIY store.
I just had to try that and used white and black groove sealant .

Use a standard cartridge and apply the compound to the mould with a spatula,
preferably not too thin
then let it dry for 48 hours, a long waiting time,
but the mass must be completely dry or it will be difficult to remove them in one piece.

and so I started to put the single parts together or layer them on top of each other

now it is up to your own creativity whether you use it as a structural mat
or in individual parts.
You can cut out single parts but also tear it with a little practice,
 which I personally liked better.

I combined it with chipboards (Dusty Attic) and some cutout's from a Stamperia
paper collection 'Voyages Fantastiques'.

the parts are flexible and adapt to any surface shape, they can be coloured
or just highlight the surface, like here with silver metallic wax

for me worked this replacement material  very well
and I will try it soon on a round underground form

My  teamies at SASPC have come up with many

inspiring and different versions
on this Steampunk/ Industrial  challenge.

We are looking forward to see your new creations!

  Happy Crafting!
