Altered Art - Halloween book

 Hi creative friends!

It's not new I love books and not only to read, as you can see again today, nothing is safe in front of my creativity ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mystical imaginative stories have always stimulated my fantasy, I can still remember on a Halloween poem of a friend, which moved me to create an old haunted house already infested by tree roots.

I saw the new month theme at MTW Challenge and was inspired to create  a spooky Halloween night in an old book and even in color, which is less typical for me, because my middle name is rather monochrome ๐Ÿ˜€

I was inspired to use a lot of Halloween themed cutting dies (Sizzix) in combination with decoupage technique for the background and some suitable natural materials (tree fungi, moss, branches, and lichen).

Do you dare?? - Fall-o-ween Moodboard September Dusty Attic

 Welcome creative friends!

Have you seen yet our awesome September Moodboard in monochrome style???

Fabulous, it reminds me on mystic chilly autumn days, when the fog rises

and the sun slowly fights its way through the fog.

I was inspired to create an canvas in mixed media style.

I love it to design with few colours and therefore more texture and structures.

As autumn draws around, the days become shorter and darker, nights are cooler and more humid

the best season to walk in the forest and look for mushrooms.

 You can discover unknown places,
enchanted clearings and meadows

So I created a door into an unknown world on my canvas.

some close up's

the door frame was made with a silicone mould,

it is surrounded by mushrooms, leaves and branches

the bare tree was perfect for my project, I used brown and black to color the chipboard,

finally lighted with dry brush technique and white gesso

and stencils I used can you find here:
