Autumn feelings - The Tree

 Welcome creative friends!

Today a new canvas in mixed media style.

I love to combine scrapbooking and mixed media, such a lot of various possibilities.

Here I have played with cutting dies, chipboards and outcast's from silicone moulds.

The beautiful photo should literally flow into the rest of the design, that was my personal challenge.

so I fitted the photo into the mixed media collage

Faded Memories for Dusty Attic Moodboard November

 Hello creative friends!

Now it's my turn to feature a layout using the
beautiful Dusty Attic Moodboard for November, delightful colours and flowers.

November is usually a grey cloudy time here, the last leaves fall from the trees, often it is foggy and unpleasantly cold and wet. A time when you prefer to make yourself comfortable at home, a favorite activity is to take out old photo albums and tell about past times. At the end of the month the dead are remembered, graves are decorated with flowers and wreaths
and completed with candle lights.
Often there is also a bust or an angel on the grave.
That were the thoughts behind this classical layout.

The light, delicate but also pale colors are very good for me on the theme

of faded memories of people, who have left us,

suitable for today's Sunday of commemoration of the dead.

Rainy days for DT Maja Design

 Welcome creative friends!

Have you yet seen our latest amazing paper collection ' Miles Apart' ??

If not - check them out! You'll love them!

Delightful colours and inspiring motifs, I was immediately in love with the motives.

I think it's a beautiful mixture of soft colors that are also suitable as background for masculine layouts maybe in grundge style. I have decided for a 12 x12 layout in vintage style suitable to the grey month November but also to this difficult times for all of us.

Art Journal - A walk through nature

 Welcome!

I was inspired to create a Art Journal page in mixed media style,

where I used only one MDF shape from Calico Craft Parts, yes it works 😁!!

I love to play with various structures and textures and used the layering technique

well know from scrapbooking.

In background I worked with stencils, old book pages, stamps and Distress inks. In foreground I also love to work with drying nature materials leaves, moss and lichens. Always important for me it must not look so neat and tidy, because nature always convinces through diversity and apparent chaos.

 Many thanks for your visit!

Altered Book - In the Forest

 Hello creative friends!

A walk through the autumn forest inspired me to create another  book in Altered Art.

I used some papers from the 'Forest' paper collection as background

and some matching cut out motives.

It was completed with cutting dies, chipboards and natural elements.

- Silence speaks when words can't -

I love this wise saying, and suits me well.

I hope I could inspire you to try some projects out off the page,

because there is a lot of possibilties what you can do with amazing papers!

If you need some instructions, please feel free to ask me!

I plan to design another one in winter mood, then I could illustrate your questions.

Thanks so much for your visit!

Have a good time friends!!

Desk Organizer - Stamperia Sea World

 Welcome!

Our Winter Special at SanDee&amelie's challenge blog  challenge is,

as usual...

I was inspired to create a desk organizer in steampunk style.

Tips and Tricks

I used air drying modelling clay

in order to be able to press the mass well into your shape

I like to use cake modelling tools

if the out cast has not yet dried properly,

it can still be easily bent around corners

Witching Hour in Haunted Castle

 Hello creative friends!

I was thrilled as I discover the Haunted Castle Shrine at Calico Craft Parts, great,

it looks like an enchanted castle, right?! and remind me on Disney film stories.

At first I was not sure how I wanted to design the interior, then these old grandfather clocks

came into my mind and I decided to hang a clock pendulum inside.

 Tips & Tricks

first I drilled a hole in the middle of the upper part, then I connected the border

with the spider's web with the help of a small metal ring (from jewelry making),

the upper part of the oak vine was pushed through the opening and fixed with

another small wooden part,
now the pendulum was free to move

from my own experience I can now report that the oak vine

is too delicate for the constant Tick Tack , Tick Tack 😏of the clock pendulum,

from experience one becomes wise, right?!

for the clock pendulum I used the following parts:

Spider Web Flourish

Oak Leaves and Acorns Border

completed with

Winged Devil

Creatures of the Night - Sheet of Halloween Mini Wood Shapes

base - before coloring and designing

pendulum swings - tick tack, tick tack

Happy Halloween!
