GD MTW Childhood and Gold

 Welcome creative friends!

I'm so excited and happy to be invited to the

as a guest designer this month!

Christmas of childhood reminds me on stressful, but also very funny and happy moments.

It's and has always been a beautiful tradition to give presents to the animals on Christmas Eve, in the past with a visit to the zoo and later also to your own pets.

Under the christmas tree we also liked to sing, our dog liked that very much too

and he sang his own song :-).

I was inspired to create a christmas mood layout in vintage style and used some wonderful papers from the latest Maja Design collection 'Traditional christmas' together with some chipboards from Dusty Attic..

I added gold splatters to the layout, gold on chipboards and as star stamps in background.

and I hope I am able to contribute a little more for you today.

Merry christmas and a Happy new year!

Winter house II with Calico Craft Parts

Welcome, creative friends!

Some of you may remember my little winter house

which I created two years ago - Little winter cottage - ,

now I have designed another one with joy and great fun.

Individual tips on how to create :

Paint the base plate before removing the individual parts!

This is how the individual parts of the two bays are glued together.

On one bay window I removed the tabs, so that it can be glued to a side of the house

where there is no slot (this way you can customise the house kit easily).

According to the plan the two bays have been attached to the front of the house,

but I preferred to attach one to the side wall of the house instead.

From the left overs from the house kit I made a small window with shutters!

Let it snow, let it snow :-)

The base plate was painted with snow texture paste and white acrylic paint.

Unfortunately there comes no chimney with the house kit...

...so I'm afraid the people will have to freeze ;-)

Finally I decorated the free roof area with additional stars and fir branches.

Have a cozy christmas for Dusty Attic December Moodboard

 Welcome creative friends!

Now it's my turn to feature a layout using the
beautiful Dusty Attic Moodboard for December,
love the little fluffy guy, it's a Dompfaff -
bullfinch, or?!

In any case a beautiful color combination that inspired me to create

a dreamy christmas winter layout.

Snowflakes dance softly from the sky and immerse the world in a very special atmosphere.

During the day it usually doesn't get very bright anymore, the frost pinches your nose,

so it's the best time to make yourself comfortable in the warm house

with your loved ones  by candlelight.

I used the red tones of the moodboard for the pointsettia and for writing
and the blue tones as background.

love the tiny houses from Main Street , because they have a 3D effect,

some small windows make the houses look more alive

I used only a crackle medium and white acrylic paint

Altered Art Bottle - Winter Magic

 Welcome creative friends!

I was inspired to create another glass bottle in Altered Art

suitable to the magic christmas time.

Tips & Tricks

Firstly I covered the whole bottle with Weathered Wood, a crackle medium from DecoArt,then, after a drying time, I painted that with Chalky Finish 'Serene'.

The middle section was painted with diluted paint for better visibility of the door windows.

I love it to decorate the flat MDF shapes with 3d effects using a silicone cake mould 'Gothic window'

with air drying clay, only the outer frame of the mould was used

one of the

Sheet of Mini MDF Street Lamps

was perfect
for a hanhing lantern over the window
so that it is well fixed, it was pressed into the not yet completely dried clay
and additionally fixed with construction adhesive this glue fixes all MDF shapes
very well on glass, but you should note that it has to dry overnight for a stable hold

under the window was glued

Rectangle Shape

in small size as terrace, which gets additional hold by the swirls of the

Winter Trees & Snow Swirls

Believe in the Magic for Dusty Attic

 Hello creative friends!

Where has time gone, today is already the first sunday in advent. In these difficult times one sometimes believes that time stands still, but we have reached almost December, the christmas month.

Christmas is for us also the time to read fairy tales and stories before the shining eyes of children.

If you are lucky, the first snow falls outside and envelops the landscape in a magical light.

Autumn feelings - The Tree

 Welcome creative friends!

Today a new canvas in mixed media style.

I love to combine scrapbooking and mixed media, such a lot of various possibilities.

Here I have played with cutting dies, chipboards and outcast's from silicone moulds.

The beautiful photo should literally flow into the rest of the design, that was my personal challenge.

so I fitted the photo into the mixed media collage

Faded Memories for Dusty Attic Moodboard November

 Hello creative friends!

Now it's my turn to feature a layout using the
beautiful Dusty Attic Moodboard for November, delightful colours and flowers.

November is usually a grey cloudy time here, the last leaves fall from the trees, often it is foggy and unpleasantly cold and wet. A time when you prefer to make yourself comfortable at home, a favorite activity is to take out old photo albums and tell about past times. At the end of the month the dead are remembered, graves are decorated with flowers and wreaths
and completed with candle lights.
Often there is also a bust or an angel on the grave.
That were the thoughts behind this classical layout.

The light, delicate but also pale colors are very good for me on the theme

of faded memories of people, who have left us,

suitable for today's Sunday of commemoration of the dead.

some close up's
