Dream Dancer

Hi crafty friends,

Mrs. Shadow Box here :-), that's my new nickname, I love this objects, because the depth effect creates a fascinating and dramatic visual result.

Don't we all love to travel! Going to new places, learning about foreign culture, enjoying foreign cuisine, visiting wonderful sights all around the globe...is so exciting, isn't it!


Ich hatte wohl den Ohrwurm, sprich ...Ich war noch niemals in New York...im Kopf, als die Idee zu diesem Projekt entstand.
I probably had the earwig in my head,... I've never been to New York ... when the idea for this project came.

 Also schnappte ich mir die nächste Shadow box und lies eine Traumtänzerin über die Dächer von New York spazieren. Die dunklen Schatten der Nacht umschwärmen die Skyline.
So ein Traum ist doch auch immer ein Drahtseilakt zwischen Gut und Böse, oder ?!
Witziger Weise entstand durch das Fotografieren noch ein neuer Effekt im Licht- und Schattenspiel, na schon entdeckt???  (die Auflösung steht am Ende ;-))
 So I grabbed the next Shadow box and had a dream dancer over the rooftops of New York stroll. The dark shadows of the night swarming around the skyline.
So a dream but always a balancing act between good and evil, right?!
Funnily enough, was created by photographing still a new effect in light and shadow, na already discovered ??? (the resolution is at the end;-))

Die Rückfront der Box besteht aus dem in schwarz/weiß ausgedruckten Clipart Image, wobei der obere Teil der Skyline mit einem Glimmer Pen versiegelt wurde und der untere Teil als Spiegelbild grau blieb. Der Nachthimmel wurde mit Distressink eingefärbt. Der Hintergrund ist bestempelt (LaBlanche Zahnräder + Schnörkel).

The back face of the box is made with black / white printed Clipart Image, the upper part of the skyline was sealed with a glimmer Pen and the lower part remained gray as a mirror image. The night sky was colored with Distressink. The background is stamped (LaBlanche gears + flourishes).

Die Rück- und Seitenfronten der Box sind ebenfalls mit Distressink eingefärbt und bestempelt.
 The back and side doors of the box are also colored with Distressink and stamped.

 meine Traumtänzerin ist eine alte Papieranziehpuppe, ausgeschnitten und noch ein wenig aufgehübscht mit schwarzem Tüll und kleinen Metallcharms

my dream dancer is an old paper doll cut out and a little pimped with black tulle and small metal charms

Der Regenschirm wurde aus 6 Einzelteilen zusammengeklebt. Es ist silberne Metallfolie mit schwarzer Acrylfarbe gestrichen, geprägt und anschließend mit Sandpapier übergeschliffen.

 The umbrella was assembled from 6 items. It is silver metal foil with black acrylic painted, embossed and then sanded over with sandpaper.

die gleiche Technik wurde auch am rechten oberen Rand verwendet ( Embossing folder Uhren)
the same technique was also used at the top right (Embossing folder Watches)

die Textur am unteren linken Rand entstand mit Hilfe von einer Schablone (Spiderweb) und silberner Cracklepaste

das sogenannte Drahtseil ist ein Stück Gliederkette, was mit Hilfe von zwei Pinnadeln (links zu sehen) an der Pappbox befestigt wurde

auf der zweiten Pinnadel rechts wurde ein ausgestanztes Zahnrad aus Metallfolie als 3D Element aufgeklebt

the texture at the bottom left created with the help of a template (Spiderweb) and silver Cracklepaste
the so-called wire rope is a piece of link chain, which was (see left) with the help of two thumbtacks attached to the cardboard box
on the second Pin right gear from a punched metal sheet was glued on as a 3D element

 rechts neben der Freiheitstatue hat sich ein Tornado zusammen gebraut

so kann der Wunschtraum auch schnell zum Alptraum werden 

right next to the Statue of Liberty, a tornado is brewing
so the dream can be a nightmare too fast
