Three haselnuts for Cinderella

Welcome!

today a new inspiration for a very romantic home decor piece. Do you know the beautiful winter fairytale '' Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel''?

It's a great tradition to see this fairytale on TV to the christmas eve, a wonderful childhood memory for me and passed from generation to generation.
Even as a child I loved the owl 'Rosalie' and thatswhy I used a shadow frame for a 3D winter landscape together with three silver haselnuts and not to forget the glass shoes.

  It's a shadow frame (size 36 x 42 cm) with a winter theme.
A decopage paper as background and highlighted with texture snow and glimmer effects.

Frame was painted with white acrylic and crackle paint from DecoArt,
a brown crackle stamp and some varios shades of distress brown.

Added some snowflake stamps with embossing powder, beautiful lace pieces, wooden plates and the words - Follow your heart.

The wonderful feather owl was a gift from a friend
and I think in this landscape she has find the right place.

  11. Oh yes, I do remember it very well. It used to be shown on British television, dubbed into English... it was only much later in life that I discovered it was actually Czech! I adore your framed shadow box with its stunning crackle, beautiful scenery and soft fluffy bird in the foreground - definitely full of Winter Magic. Thanks so much for joining us on A Vintage Journey.
