Hi friends,

heute ein Projekt, um ein großes Dankeschön zu sagen, den Jungs, die immer mein schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Auto wieder in Schwung bringen :-)

today a project, to say a big thank you the guys, that bring always my old car into swing  :-)

der Hintergrund wurde mit Distress Stains, 3 verschiedene Farben + Wasser in der bekannten Paint Marble Technik gearbeitet. Ich mag diese T!M technik besonders, da immer unplanbare Ergebnisse entstehen, der Überraschungseffekt ist immer da.

the background has been with distress stains, 3 different colors + water in the well known paint marble technique worked. I like this T!M technology especially, always unexpected results occur, the surprise effect is always there.

passend zur Autowerkstatt natürlich ein paar
 rostige ;-) Einzelteile, an der Schraube hat der Rost sogar Haare! angesetzt ;-)

1001 Vintage Adventure

Hi scrapy friends,
 today a new vintage Layout, ich liebe diese alten Foto's und es war ein willkommener Anlass eine Mixed Media Collage frei nach einer Finnabair Inspiration zu versuchen.
Gearbeitet wurde u.a. mit  einigen Schablonen -  Bubbles, Seahorse, Wimpel und Embossing Foldern (Sizzix Travel Set - Schriftzüge)

und ich habe es bei dieser Shadow Box einmal wörtlich genommen ;-)

da ich immer die Idee und die Geschichten rings um das gewerkelte Projekt liebe und es im weiten crafty Blogland unheimlich viele Anleitungen, Materialangaben und sonstige Technikerklärungen gibt,
möchte ich heute mal aus der Reihe tanzen ( eine meiner Lieblingsbeschäftigungen ;-))
deshalb gibt es heute nur! die Erläuterung zur Idee, die dahinter steckt.

Der große Trend heutzutage, die Wahl zum Superstar  - träumen wir nicht alle
davon mal im Rampenlicht zu stehen ;-)?!

I always love the idea and the stories around the project's and there are an awful lot of instructions, material specifications and other technical explanations in the crafty blog land,

Today I would like times out of line (one of my favorite things;-))
therefore, there are today only! an explanation of the idea behind it.

Hi friends,

a wonderful inspiration and the right theme for me, I love seahorses and the underwater world

für den Hintergrund habe ich eine Bubbles Schablone genutzt, geprägt und leicht coloriert

das Strandleben ist original Ostseesand  ;-) kombiniert mit Stickles, weißem Gesso und Leim und allem was man dort am herrlich weißen Strand so finden kann

die Natur ist doch immer noch das beste Vorbild, oder?

for the background I used a template Bubbles, embossed and slightly colored
life on the beach is original Baltic sea sand ;-) combined with Stickles, white gesso and glue

 the seahorse was colored with distress ink paints and crackle paint clear rock candy

 

anschließend wurde eine Folie geprägt, tolle Idee um den transparenten Wasserspiegel darzustellen, da die Bubbles schon den Hintergrund schmücken, habe ich mich hier für ein Sixxiz Embossingfolder mit Flora entschieden, geprägt und leicht mit Acrylfarbe eingefärbt und ausgeschnitten

since the bubbles already adorn the background, I chose here a Sixxiz Embossingfolder with Flora, embossed and lightly colored with acrylic paint, and cut

und fertig war mein Blick in die Unterwasserwelt und weil es großen Spass gemacht hat, gibt es demnächst auch noch weitere Ideen mit den übrigen Mitgliedern der Seepferdchenfamilie ;-)  zu sehen

and I had finished my view into the underwater world and because it was a lot of fun, there will be soon  more ideas to see here on this topic

Embossing Resist Technique

Hi friends,

es ist mal wieder Vintage - Time und wie versprochen, dreht sich im Moment hier alles um das Thema Meer.
Heute war es mal wieder Zeit für eine schon in Vergessenheit geratene Stempeltechnik - Embossing Resist -
entstanden ist eine einfache Shadow Box aus einem alten Holzkasten, auf Opa's altem Dachboden entdeckt und zu neuer Schönheit aufpoliert ;-)

Take a break

 den Mittelpunkt bildet eine Fotocollage, welche aus einem Mix von neuem Strandbild (Ostsee vor zwei Jahren) und einem wunderschönen uralt Vintagefoto zweier Badenixen entstand. Mit Hilfe der bekannten Distresstechniken auf alt getrimmt, bildet es den farblichen Ansatzpunkt für meine Hintergrundgestaltung.

 the center is a photo collage, which a beautiful and very old vintage photo of two bathing beauties in mix of a new beach picture (Baltic Sea two years ago). With the help of the known Distresstechniques, it forms the starting point for my color background design.

 

Zum Einsatz kam die Paint Marble + Embossing Resist Technik natürlich mit Hilfe der altbewährten Distressfarben und verschiedener maritimer Stempel. Dabei habe ich festgestellt, das großflächige, wenig filigrane Stempel im Zusammenspiel mit dem klaren Embossingpulver eindeutig bessere Ergebnisse bringen.

  I used the Paint Marble + embossing resist technique, came naturally with the help of the tried and true Distress colours and different  stamps. And I've found out, that large, fewer filigree stamp in conjunction with the clear embossing clear powder, bring better results.

 

zum Schluß kombiniert mit allem, was man am Strand so finden kann und einem selbstgeknüpften Fischernetz - ist der alte Holzkasten zu einer neuen Sommer - Vintagedekoration geworden.

DT Steampunk Summer Special

Hi friends,

today an new tag for our Steampunk Summer Special Moodboard

It is kind of an "anything goes" challenge - but you have to use the colours (some of them or all of them - that depends on you) and/or the elements from the photograph to create a STEAMPUNK make!
It will be an additional challenge (alongside our regular challenges) that will run for  
six long weeks - from 17.07 to  August 31st! 

One of our DT's, the owner of  Retro Kraft Shop , created a moodboard for this challenge and is also giving away a fantastic prize package to one lucky winner (whom we will draw randomly from the entries of this challenge after August 31st)

Tag Clock Tower

Good Morning friends,

heute mal zu ungewöhnlicher Zeit, nur der frühe Vogel fängt den Wurm ;-)
mal wieder ein Tag, ich liebe diese Teile, weil man schnell ein Ergebnis sieht und neue Inspirationen ausprobieren kann.
Für meinen Uhrturm habe ich wieder eine Schneideschablone für den oberen Rand genutzt, das Farbschema ist wieder der verwitterte alte Grungelook , also typisch Tim Holtz und nur mit diesen Distressfarben kommt man zu einem gewünschten Ergebnis (zumindest aus meiner Sicht ;-))

a new tag, the idea a handmaded tag, I used  cutting dies for the top of the tag and the measure band .

For my Clock Tower, I again used a cutting template for the top edge, the color scheme is again the weathered old grunge look, so typical Tim Holtz and only with these Distressfarben to get to a desired result (at least from my point of view;-))

für die Uhr wurde ein Charm mit Distresslook versehen (silber+ schwarz)

zwei Uhrzeiger befestigt und fertig ist mein Clocktower,

der wieder sehr gut in meine Tag-Serie Zeitreisen paßt

today my new creation Inventor now and in the future!

Ich habe mich für keinen bestimmten Erfinder entschieden, sondern für einen kleinen Jungen, der davon träumt ( nicht umsonst heißt mein Blog Scrapbook Dreams ;-))
einmal ein großer Erfinder zu werden.
Er hat tausend verrückte Ideen im Kopf, die nur darauf warten, einmal Wirklichkeit zu werden.

I decided for no particular inventor, but for a little boy who dreams of (not without reason is the name of  my blog Scrapbook Dreams ;-)) even have to be a great inventor.
He has a thousand crazy ideas in your  head, just waiting one day becoming a reality.

On the beach

Hi scrapy friends,

it's summer time, the right time for a dream vacation on the beach. I had to postpone my holiday, unfortunately, but the bigger the anticipation. But I like to remember now the last 2 years ago.

So it's the right time for a new Layout, a beautiful memory on sun, sea and happiness with restful, relaxing days.

My idea was a  mixed media Project with a beautiful motif from A. Mucha, 

a great artist from art nouveau era.

Eines meiner Lieblingsmotive - der Mohn, bedeutet für mich den Beginn des Sommers.

Intensiv leuchtende Mohnfelder im Sommerlicht, die Natur strahlt mit der Sonne um die Wette :-)

Summergirl

 um solche Mixed Media Projekte interessant zu gestalten, brauchen die Ojekte immer viele Strukturen. Meistens  nutzte ich dafür diese Metallcharms. Da ich aber immer wieder gern neue Dinge ausprobieren muss, habe ich hier mit getrockneten Naturmaterialien gearbeitet, wie Gräser, Mohnkapseln, Getreideähren oder Lebensbaum. Für die Sonnenstrahlen wurden Papierstreifen ausgeschnitten, wie alle anderen Elemente mit weißem Gesso übermalt und mit leichter Goldfarbe patiniert.

For the sunrays paper strips were cut out, like all other elements painted over with white gesso and patinated with light gold color.

The new theme on Compendium of curiosities 3 Challenge 6 Burlap panel

I use a mini burlap panel 8 x 8 , which i have framed as special effect. 

My projects are always very feminine, romantic and playful, but as some of you may already know, I love to reinvent myself again and again. So I am trying now in projects that are more masculine, simple and clear.

Eigentlich sind meine Projekte immer sehr feminin, romantisch und verspielt, aber wie einige von euch vielleicht schon wissen, liebe ich es, mich immer wieder neu zu erfinden. Deshalb versuche ich mich jetzt auch in Projekten, die eher maskulin, einfach und klar sind.

Tag Time Travel

es war mal wieder an der Zeit ein richtiges Mixed Media Projekt zu gestalten, ich arbeite sehr gern mit diesen Sprühfarben. Es entsteht immer ein Überraschungseffekt in der Coloration, das Endergebnis ist meistens nicht planbar und das macht das Ganze unheimlich spannend.

It was the right time again to create a real mixed media project. I love working with these spray paints.

 It is always a surprise in the coloration, the end result is usually not predictable and that makes the whole thing very exciting.

 entstanden ist ein Tag im sogenannten industrial grunge look. 

es wurde mit verschiedenen Schablonen (Raute, Filmstreifen, Zahlen) gearbeitet. Außerdem kamen verschiedene Distress Inks (Reinker + Wasser) zum Einsatz. Ich nutze gern diese flüssigen Tinten in Sprühflaschen wegen der guten Farbpigmentierung und dem Alterungeeffekt.

it was worked with various templates (diamond, filmstrips, numbers). In addition, (Reinker + water) several distress inks were used. I like to use these liquid inks (packaged in spray bottles) because of the good color pigmentation and aging effect.

the colour combination was new for me (black, brown, blue, silver) but i think the right combination with a little bit steampunkish ;-)

because i love love this style because you can always other exiting things rediscover!!
