Timeless Traditions for Maja Design

Welcome friends!

I'm very happy to share with you a new layout with our latest collection 'Christmas Season'.

This collection, is a wonderful Holiday/Winter combo with red and blue season colours. You will have a holiday collection that you can continue to use well past Christmas.
My absolutely favourite in this very beautiful collection is the sheet 'Mail the post
cards', I love the very delicate background scenery
and the lovely woman at the mailbox in a mixture of soft winter colours.

I have set myself the task to cover up as little as possible of the amazing motifs.

I used some cutting dies and added some wonderful chipboards
from Dusty Attic to add dimension.

a real postcard motif

As I saw the paper sheet 'Greeting Cards' I thought, yes, that's the perfect addition for this theme.
So  I cut out some individual postcards, using the paper distresser tool and inked around the edges with  dark brown.
This project was so much fun to create and I love the scene that you can build up, using some paper sheets from the new collection.
Thanks so much for your visit!
I hope this layout will set you up for a beautiful and relaxed Advent season!

Shadow Box Nemo's Memories

Hello friends!

Maybe you can still remember on my last book shadow box
'Octopus En Vogue' with the awesome
Today I want to present you the interior design.
The background was created with a decoupage paper with old maps,
I think very suitable for Captain Nemo's adventures,a very famous fictional character by Jules Verne.
I wanted to create a gritty dripping atmosphere.

I used a lot of Nautical & Seasides wooden shapes from Calico Craft Parts
in combination with some steampunk shapes.

on my detail photos can you find all this wonderful pieces

Thinkers Oasis

Hello craft lovers!

I was inspired to create a new shadow box in vintage style.
I thought on an old spartan room
where poets and philosophers let their thoughts run free.

Passion for SASPC

Welcome crafty lovers!

I'm back with a new inspiration for you.
So let's start with our winter special challenge at SASPC
- it is - as usual - an

themed challenge and all kinds of projects (except digitally created ones) are welcome! So show us your tags, cards, art journal pages, canvases, altered objects, drawings, paintings, sketches....whatever you're up to as long as it fits our challenge themes steampunk or industrial.

...and of course a project that combines X-mas with steampunk or industrial style is more than welcome too ;)
And as it is a two months long challenge you are allowed to enter up to five projects instead of just the usual three!

I was inspired to create a tag in mixed media style. I love it to combine various materials such like fabric stripes, shapes from silicon moulds and cutting dies. Together with some Fluid acrylic paints and a crackle background from DecoArt always a lot of fun and pleasure.

used DecoArt materials

Steampunk is the combination of nostalgia from the Victorian era with modern mechanical elements. I'm fascinated by the DIY mentality and the ingenuity, the imagination knows no bounds.

I'm also fascinated again and again what nature brings about in big and small wonders, which are often a model for technical innovations.
Our 'Big boss' Claudia deserves a special 'Thank you' for her engagement
 for this challenge blog.
She is a big beetle fan and that's why today a little creepy-crawler moves
about the Steampunk tag, to which genus he belongs
I don't know, but in any case he is related to the bookworms ;-)
