 This scrapbook theme captures the simple joy of kids exploring the garden. The highlight, of course, is always playing with the garden hose—it usually ends in a water fight.

 I designed the theme with a worn, vintage look and a touch of steampunk, as you often see in my work. I love these beautiful sunflowers from DA, Focus on bright, natural colors like green and yellow. 

In the end, this scrapbook layout isn’t just about gardening—it’s about curiosity, creativity, and connection. It’s about those carefree moments when time slows down, and a simple splash of water can turn into pure happiness.

From a Construction Mistake to a Magical Halloween Dream House

Als ich dieses kleine Haus aus einem Bastelset fertig gebaut hatte, sah ich das die Dachschrägen nicht passten. Klassische Fehlkonstruktion!

Aber anstatt es zu entsorgen, war es eine Herausforderung.

Mit etwas Farbe, Alterungseffekten, geheimnisvollen Details, mit den passenden chipboards ergänzt und einer großen Portion Halloween-Magie 🎃 verwandelte sich das kleine Haus schließlich komplett in ein Traumhaus lol. 

Das Dach ist kein Fehler mehr, im Gegenteil es verleiht Charakter.

Und genau das liebe ich an kreativen Projekten:

Man muss einen Fehler nicht immer korrigieren. Manchmal muss man ihn einfach in Magie verwandeln.

DIY Mixed Media Home Decor - Where is my ship??

 

If you love creating textured mixed media projects, this one is full of inspiration! 

I transformed an oval wall décor piece into a weathered pirate-themed artwork using chipboards, rich rust effects, and a subtle touch of steampunk.

By layering texture pastes, metallic paints, and rusty patinas, I created an aged, dark vintage look. The dimensional chipboard embellishments add depth and tell their own story, while the combination of industrial details and nautical elements gives the project a unique character.

Mixed media is all about experimenting, combining different materials, and letting creativity lead the way. Don't be afraid to embrace texture, imperfections, and rusty finishes—they often create the most beautiful effects.
