Hi again,
May I introduce
Captain Nemo and his fascinating under waterworld
and our new theme for the summer challenge at Sandee&Amelies Steampunk Ch.
you can choice this elements in horizontal, vertical and diagonal line
I have choice the first vertical line Words/ Stencils/ The Deep Sea
I'm always fascinating from this red fire fishes (here Antennen - Feuerfisch)
my Oskar ;-) is a little bit abstract drawn, but he has big silver eyes ,
which see in the wide world
the environment was colored with distress ink - mustard seed, fired brick
on a background ( before worked with white gesso)
Captain Nemo and the eye are stamps from La Blanche
(one of our sponsors in this summer challenge :-))
I worked on foil for a better contrast, the frame is aluminium foil, used a gear die and then embossed.
I used a coral stamp with Staz on Black stamped in white Gesso to create structures
before you must the gesso a little bit blow dry
this technique, where you can designed a new steampunk stamp
- Two becomes one new -
with effect ;-)
you will see on our new Extra Steam Power # 3 on 7th August
for this great challenge we have three Sponsors!!!
and you will have 2 months time to show us your beautiful ideas !
Hope over to our challenge blog to see
what my very creative teamies have made!
Hugs and Happy crafting!!!!!
Kerstin

Where would we be without Jules Verne? great idea to focus on him, and your art journal is wonderful. I really like how such a large part is "black and white" and then you splash color across it! Wonderful piece!
ReplyDeleteThe aluminum foil frame around the Captain is so fun. This is such a neat journal creation. So many fabulous elements - color, dimension, design. Silly but my fav part is the eye... why... because under the ocean... there are eyes everywhere!!!!!!!!!!! LOVELY work Kerstin. j.
