Magical DIY Witch’s Kitchen in the Forest

 Hello creative friends!

I dreamed of having my own witch’s kitchen hidden deep in the forest 👀❤.

This fall, I finally made that dream come true with a DIY project that was fun, creative, and a little bit spooky. Here’s how I built a miniature forest witch’s kitchen using amazing Dusty Attic chipboards, natural materials, a touch of magic, and a lot of imagination.

🔨 Tipps & Tricks

  1. First, I found the perfect stretcher frame and use it from the back spot
  2. I built the great witches table and shelf
  3. For a very cool 3D effect I used a small wooden spool as a spacer, so I could put all kinds of magical ingredients on the table
  4. The marvellous Halloween frame features an eye that directs attention to the rules in the Witch House.
  5. I added decorations like paper cuts, natural materials and litte books and recipe sheets for a witchy vibe.

When friends visited, they were amazed – especially the kids, who immediately started brewing their own “potions” using berries and mud!

DIY Witches Hat with Dusty Attic

 Hello!

This beautiful witch's hat inspired me to create a new Halloween project with a magical theme.
It captures the mysterious, creepy and magical essence of Halloween perfectly.

The plan is to create a dark scene centred around a witch's apothecary, with the hat as a prelude.

I used the layered Apothecary insignia together with a small haunted house.

The lightning struck and contributed to the fact that very special ingredients can be used

 in the pharmacy again.

Be surprised 🎃

In Witches Apothecary

 Hello!

This shadowbox depicts a mysterious witch's apothecary
- a place full of magic, herbal scents and dark secrets.
In the scene you can see two old, dusty shelves filled with small potion bottles, dried herbs and mysterious ingredients - from ‘Toad slime’ to ‘Bat wings’ and ‘Moonstone powder’.
In the background I used two matching stencils.
In the upper right corner you can see the last visitor to the pharmacy 👀.
I love these extraordinary Branch corners, they perfectly frame the shadowbox.

The entire scene is in dark, autumnal colours: giving the box extra depth and Halloween flair.

It's a miniature world full of details that makes you feel like you're in the witch's kitchen of an old magic book. Perfect for Halloween - mysterious, spooky and magical!

  1. Use stencils with blending tool and Distress inks  for background
  2. Use embossing folder for a texture on chipboard here a wood grain
  3.  Moisten the embossing folder before embossing and the texture will be more impressive

Sunflowers with Dusty Attic

 Hello crafty friends!

I was very happy to receive a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers

from our garden while I was in hospital.

I love these flowers, which radiate so much warmth and joie de vivre

and are always a sign that autumn is coming.

This cheerful scrapbooking layout is all about the sunflower - a symbol of summer, warmth and joie de vivre - and the colour palette is sunny and warm: bright yellow, soft orange and earthy tones.

A cream-coloured cardstock was used as the basis, combined with brown patterned paper.

I used sunflower chipboards and a beautiful autumn leaf stencil, which are very nature-like and therefore among my favourites.

They were painted with simple acrylic colours, copied from my garden 😀.
