A visit in our garden DT Dusty Attic

 Welcome creative friends!

Everything is covered in deep snow, it's freezing cold and you can get some exercise

every day by swinging the snow shovel. Winter has us firmly in its grip.

A winter where you look forward to spring all the more. Hopefully it will be soon!

Today I want to share with you a 12 x 12 layout in wintry mood.

The colours of our monthly Moodboard inspired me to create a scrapbook page

with some impressions from our garden in winter time.

GD MTW Childhood and Gold

 Welcome creative friends!

I'm so excited and happy to be invited to the

as a guest designer this month!

Christmas of childhood reminds me on stressful, but also very funny and happy moments.

It's and has always been a beautiful tradition to give presents to the animals on Christmas Eve, in the past with a visit to the zoo and later also to your own pets.

Under the christmas tree we also liked to sing, our dog liked that very much too

and he sang his own song :-).

I was inspired to create a christmas mood layout in vintage style and used some wonderful papers from the latest Maja Design collection 'Traditional christmas' together with some chipboards from Dusty Attic..

I added gold splatters to the layout, gold on chipboards and as star stamps in background.

Merry christmas and a Happy new year!

Chill Out

 Hello creative friends!

I love to give layouts a theme and interpret them freely, that's why I hardly ever worked with sketches. But I am also a person who likes to try everything and so I got inspired by the sketch at MTW.

In Corona times it is not always possible and useful to travel, but relaxation, taking time for yourself is more important than ever. When I sit over my creative projects, I sink into other worlds, which sometimes don't even want to leave :-).

Vintage feelings in Denim blue with a touch of Steampunk

and always on the search for the extraordinary,

with new sprouting ideas

I think this describes my creative soul.

Mixed Media - The enchanted garden

Hi creative friends!

I was very inspired from this awesome Moodboard this month at 13@rts.

I thought on a mysterious garden, once beautifully laid -out and the whole pride of the owners
 and today recaptured by nature.

A place of poetry!

Winter Wonderland DT Dusty Attic Moodboard

Hello creative friends!

The winter has here begun and the first snowflakes dance from our sky, the magical time begins.
I was thinking on our dog, he loves the winter time and especially when it's snowing.

Filou freaks out with the first snow and when we walking in the woods,
he is full of enthusiasm and finds hardly an end.
No matter it storms or snows, his nose is in the snow and always looking for a new trail.

I used a very wonderful paper from Maja Design as background suitable to our December Moodboard with shades of blue and brown.
It's the paper sheet 'Winter Night' from the new collection 'Holiday in the Alps'.

isn't he adorable?!
just waiting for someone to take him for a walk

Many thanks for your visit!

Have a good time!

Summer Dreams for Dusty Attic

Welcome everyone!

Spring is just around the corner here in our countries. We are looking forward to more sunshine, warmth and bright colours in nature.

When I saw our new March Moodboard, I immediately thought of flowering meadows in summer. The colour red and the natural structures inspired me to design a layout with one of my favourite flowers. The poppy, beautiful, but always far too quickly faded.

I just folded a corner over and fixed it with a brad.

the background papers are from Maja Design

Firstly I coloured the chippies with Metallic Acrylic Paint from DecoArt 'Dark Patina'.
For more texture I sprinkled Golden Decosand into the still wet colour.

For this layout I only used two chipboard plates, but I think more isn't necessary for this natural style. On the wildflower plate there are a lot of single parts in all sizes.
They are beautiful and very filigree and remind me of meadow flowers.

on the theme this time.
Please have a look and feel you inspired to create your own idea.
We are looking forward to see your new creations!

Smell of Lavender

Welcome creative friends!

During the first spring clean-up works in my garden I had to cut the lavender
and was surrounded by wonderful scented clouds.
This wonderful scent inspired me to design a new mixed media canvas.

I always love the nature feeling in a wheathered look
and I'm a big fan of the shabby chic style too.

So I combined different elements like a metal sign, wood branch,
hemp string, snail and shell housing and very important,
some stems from my garden lavender.

I loved to work on this canvas and every time I blow dried the colours
I was surrounded by this wonderful lavender scent.

That was really the best thing about it, why didn't think of it earlier?

I want to share this

love your lavender theme inspiration
in this beautiful colours

I was inspired from the nature texture and the delicate colours
I used some paper stripes from the His & Hers collection (Butterflies)
and a stencil from your shop Des. Olga Heldwein
