Steampunk Art Journal Adventures

This steampunk-inspired art journal page was created using stencils

to add texture and structure to the background.

Chipboards and die-cuts bring dimension, while washi tape and paper scraps create layered details.

Wise quotes were added to complete the page, combining creative design with meaningful words.

Es geht darum, Texturen, Papiere und Emotionen auf einer Seite zu schichten.

Rust & Romance : Steampunk Brought to Life

 Alte Schätze wiederentdeckt

While tidying up my craft supplies, I rediscovered some old treasures.
It was high time to put them to use.

This mixed media project brings the fascinating world of steampunk to life in an impressive 3D design. Created on a canvas, added with a wooden frame, which has been treated with artificial rust and crackle effects. The most eye-catching feature is the balcony, carefully crafted from greyboard and enhanced with a decorative metal trim. This special detail adds dimension, texture, and character, making the scene feel vivid and alive.

To complete the composition, chipboards, metal charms and cut-outs were added throughout the artwork. These elements enrich the overall design with layered details, perfectly capturing the industrial elegance and imaginative spirit of steampunk.

Stepping Out of Line – Scrapbooking with Chipboards

Scrapbooking is all about telling stories,

and sometimes the most exciting stories begin when we dare to step out of line.

For this project, I worked with the theme “to step out of line”, which for me means trying something unexpected and embracing creative freedom.

Chipboards played a key role in this layout. I love how they add dimension and structure while still leaving room for creativity. Chipboard elements  were altered with Embossing powder, paint and ink to create contrast and rust effects as highlight the focal points of the page.

This creates movement and makes the layout feel dynamic and expressive rather than perfectly aligned.

Scrapbooking doesn’t have to be perfect – it should feel honest, playful, and inspiring.

New Year Shadowbox Art: A Dark Grinch Twist ✨

New Year, new ideas, same love for creativity.
Let’s make this year amazing together!

🎨✨

I created this handmade shadowbox using

layered chipboards and mixed media elements, inspired by a steampunk style.
Gears, metallic textures, and a touch of whimsy come together to

welcome the New Year in a unique way.
Perfect for everyone who loves creative details and a little steampunk magic!

I combined the funny Grinch with a Mad Hatter from the Alice series

and designed depth, dimension, and contrast to create

a mysterious and dramatic atmosphere.

Garden wand panel

Hello creative friends!

I love our garden, it's my therapie, my escape into nature.

I was also looking for birthday present ideas. As it should be something unusual, I decided on a steampunk-style wall panel to serve as an eye-catching addition to the gazebo.

This is my last DT project for Calico Craft Parts for the time being, as I must go to hospital.

Picture Frame - Hello Friend

 Hello!

Today an upcycling project, it was an old wooden frame, now it's an eyecatcher

where you can add an special photo or an wise saying.

I decorated it with a nautilus from a fantasy Steampunk land

and supplemented the nautilus with a kelp, split in the centre,

this is how wonderful tentacles were created. Chain was made with the help of a mould,

on the body I added two cogs, a capnut and a thin metal ornament.

Nautical Steampunk

 Hello!

I created a centerpiece for a themed party and decided in favour of the Steampunk style.

I used an old cardboard spool holder and fixed the frame to the top with some pieces of driftwood. It holds quite well, but for greater stability, I would recommend doubling up the frame. On the bottom, I glued three half cogwheels to create a border. As the chipboards are made of cardboard, they can be easily moulded into shape after being lightly moistened.

Die Rückkehr der Black Pearl

Ahoi Piratenfreunde!

Ich sah ein grünes Leuchten am Horizont. 👀

He 's a Pirate

Ahoy, landlubbers 😀

The black pearl has taken off again, and the pirate adventures continue, at least for now.

I made a new shadowbox in grunge style with a touch of steampunk from a kit for a paper lantern.

I used self-produced rust to make everything look as old and cool as possible.

Even in the dark, it catches the eye; in the green glow, it appears on the horizon, having returned from the underworld to the world of the living.

Steampunk World

 Hello!

Der Fantasie sind keine Grenzen gesetzt, oder?!

und insbesondere das Steampunk-Genre ist eine Welt, in der alles möglich ist,

weil es eine Welt ist, die es nie gab!
