Christmas Stars

Today my latest Christmas ideas for our
DT Scrap FX
You know the funny christmas song 'Rockin around the christmas tree'?
This song I had in my ears as I created this christmas layout.
Our german christmas is mostly very silently and prayerfully
in the circle of our family
but I also love the cheerful side with our friends
and their children.

Scrap FX products used:

I created a christmas tree from some cutting dies (flowers and fir branches) with texture papers
two handmade pointsettias and as structure the three wordlets
chipboards were made with black and gold embossing powder

here the wonderful Ballerina stencil with white gesso as background
and some beautiful glimmer effects from a Glimmer Mist Coral Reef (Tattered Angels)
and my second christmas project
before it was an old wooden frame, now it's a new christmas gift

for this lighted photo frame I used the following Scrap FX products

I created an altered effect with a brown Glimmermist Spray (Tattered Angels)
and a white texture paint on the chipboards and for the background,
a star stamp, some leaves and pointsettia flowers from Prima
and a little metallic frame
as cluster at the lower edge.

Merry Christmas all over the world!
May the spirit of the season

bring you happiness and joy!
Best wishes from
xx Kerstin xx

Christmas Ornaments

Today an idea how you can use a mixed media christmas ornament
also as gift wrapping piece for a voucher.

Tutorial Tips

use the half plastic clear bauble as template for a cut out from cardstock

connect both pieces with a pattern clip
so you can use the bauble for a voucher gift and you can hang this ornament
on your christmas tree

used acrylic paints and texture from DEcoArt

Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels + cutting die + texture paper

and a lot of another inspiration ornaments

Merry Christmas with Mr. Coolman

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen!

The year 2016 is almost over and we are short before christmas.
There is always a colourful hustle and bustle as well as calmness and reflectiveness.
We use also the time to look back on this year, the right time to say
a big THANK YOU
to our hard-working and reliably
Big Boss Claudia,
our two Sponsors,
my talented teamies
our faithful followers!

Mr. Coolman the one and only ;-) is here
to wish you a merry and bright Christmas and a Happy NEW Year!

By the way, the English version of Mr. Coolman
you can find here
with kind support of our Claudia :-)

Bevor ich meine Arme and andere Nettigkeiten verpasst bekam,

May the spirit of the season
bring you happiness and joy!

Warmest wishes from our whole
xx Kerstin xx

Three haselnuts for Cinderella

today a new inspiration for a very romantic home decor piece. Do you know the beautiful winter fairytale '' Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel''?

It's a great tradition to see this fairytale on TV to the christmas eve, a wonderful childhood memory for me and passed from generation to generation.
Even as a child I loved the owl 'Rosalie' and thatswhy I used a shadow frame for a 3D winter landscape together with three silver haselnuts and not to forget the glass shoes.

  It's a shadow frame (size 36 x 42 cm) with a winter theme.
A decopage paper as background and highlighted with texture snow and glimmer effects.

Frame was painted with white acrylic and crackle paint from DecoArt,
a brown crackle stamp and some varios shades of distress brown.

Added some snowflake stamps with embossing powder, beautiful lace pieces, wooden plates and the words - Follow your heart.

The wonderful feather owl was a gift from a friend
and I think in this landscape she has find the right place.

CCB Christmas where you are
it's a great family tradition here in Germany to see this beautiful romantic christmas fairytale
on christmas eve 24th of December,
it helps to shorten the time for children till the handing out of presents

CCB December 2016 Challenge
I used a hazelnut branche from nature
and inked it with silver spray

Many thanks for your visit!
I wish you all a beautiful holiday time!

Happy crafting!
