Storage Box with MDF Kit

  Hello everyone!

Today a new inspiration how versatile and creative you can work
with the MDF shapes.
I needed new storage boxes for pens, notes,
business cards and similar things.
Thatswhy I decided to use a very practical box kit,
have used the two parts of the box separately from each other.

I am a big fan of the magic forest theme and so I quickly found the right shapes.
I love these old whimsical trees and this mystical gothic window.
Mdf parts can not only be designed in very different coloursand textures,
but you can also divide them very well and create new ideas with them.

Try it !

Altered Book - Springtime in Forest

Hello creative friends!

Many of us are eagerly awaiting spring,

more sun, more warmth, more nature. on my windowsill

the hyacinths and primroses are blooming and fragrant,

high time for a new spring decoration.  😀

I created an Altered book with a background paper from Stamperia (Forest)

a lot of suitable chipboards from Dusty Attic

and dried nature materials.

Maybe you can still remember on

this new book is to continue the series, now it's springtime in the forest.

Altered Book - In the Forest

 Hello creative friends!

A walk through the autumn forest inspired me to create another  book in Altered Art.

I used some papers from the 'Forest' paper collection as background

and some matching cut out motives.

It was completed with cutting dies, chipboards and natural elements.

- Silence speaks when words can't -

I love this wise saying, and suits me well.

I hope I could inspire you to try some projects out off the page,

because there is a lot of possibilties what you can do with amazing papers!

If you need some instructions, please feel free to ask me!

I plan to design another one in winter mood, then I could illustrate your questions.

Thanks so much for your visit!

Have a good time friends!!

Desk Organizer - Stamperia Sea World

 Welcome!

Our Winter Special at SanDee&amelie's challenge blog  challenge is,

as usual...

I was inspired to create a desk organizer in steampunk style.

Tips and Tricks

I used air drying modelling clay

in order to be able to press the mass well into your shape

I like to use cake modelling tools

if the out cast has not yet dried properly,

it can still be easily bent around corners

Halloween Night

 Welcome creative friends!

Every year the time comes for the spirits to roam free for the Halloween celebrations

on the night from 31 October to 1 November.

I'm not the biggest fan from such crazy party nights,

but I love to create with this funny spook, a lot of fantasy, in a dark foggy robe.

I used a starry night paper from Stamperia as magical background.

The combination of very special chipboards from Dusty Attic and some cutting dies from Sizzix

was perfect for a witchy layout in mixed media style.

Moodbook Cover - Nature feelings

 Welcome!

Today a  cover for a junk journal or moodbook -how I like to call it-

as inspiration what you can do with the amazing paper collection 'Forest' from Stamperia.

I use a simply collage technique and cut out some pieces, I love it to combine various materials

papers, cutouts, fabric, chipboards, feathers, dryed plants and metallic embellishments.

Have a good time !

Sea Call DT Steampunk

Welcome!

Our June challenge is, as usual...

We welcome all types of projects (except digitally created) and encourage everyone to join us each month, whether this is your very first make, or you are an experienced maker, and share your creations. Show us your tags, cards, canvas, Artist Trading Cards/Coins, art journal, altered objects - whatever you can imaging that fits our steampunk/industrial theme. We are in awe of your creative imaginations and use of materials, and look forward to each challenge to see where your creative muse took you.

I was inspired to create a wooden sign in mixed media Steampunk style
with one of my favourite themes 'Under the Sea'.

I worked with the Maxi Mould 'Seaworld' and a texture soft mould from Stamperia, black gesso, texture paste, rust effect paste, metallic waxes, grey board, embossing folder, chipboards and cheesecloth.

Tips & Tricks

I used only some individual pieces from the soft mould, cut out some
cardboard embossed pieces and glued all to the edge of the board

texture paste was applied to the remaining areas

two single octopus arms made with  air modeling clay

all covered with black gesso

after drying the colouring is done here with Rust effect paste and Metallic waxes

Heart & Soul DT SASPC

Welcome!

It's a difficult time for all of us and everyone is grateful for a little joy and distraction.  One must also see and hear something different than just the latest news and try to discover the positive sides of this crisis.

But carry on we will - especially as creating is such a good means to escape reality for some time and especially a good way to practice mindfulness which has become even more important these days!

Our May challenge is, as usual...

Anything Goes - Steampunk Industrial

I was inspired to create a mixed media board with an awesome cut out from the Stamperia paper collection 'Voyages Fantastiques' and I used some pieces make with the soft mould 'Time Machine'
which I have already used very gladly in the preceding projects.

Together with some other casts made with silicone moulds a fantasy steampunkproject
 in sea mood was created.
