I*m heavy on wire

Welcome friends,

our new theme at SanDees&Amelies Steampunk Challenge is
"Top Hats and Moustaches"

are two of the "ingredients" we all love about Steampunk art! So show us your "moustached" canvasses, cards, tags, objects,....those top hats sitting on...well, whatever you think they can sit on.
Anyway - we hope you are not too busy with crafting away on Halloween projects only and maybe find some time for a little Steampunk piece too this month.

How I made this

I started by embossing a piece of craft paper, I used the dry embossing technique.

my wire is a chipboard (also used as stencil),
painted with Fluid Acrylics Silver Metallic

then I used black Gesso

added Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Gold as faux rust effect + Metallic lustre Silver

background was made with wire and cargo stencil + Distress ink as spray paint (+ water in mini mister)
up(p)s - I'm heavy on wire
squiggly handwriting :-)

crazy bird stamp from Tim Holtz was painted with distress inks
and Dazzling Metallics Rich Expresso from DecoArt

Happy crafting!

Beauty & Art

Welcome!

one of my favourite sayings
- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder -

for the face I use a photo from a magazine and one of my favourite products from DecoArt
Matte Medium as photo transfer medium
it works super well !!

that's my 'eggs plum' dies ;-)
( before that I had cut out by hand and then they have similarity )

I used white gesso as basis, a lot of stencils, spray and distress inks and some stamps

Call me !

Welcome!

thanks for all your lovely comments on my Haunted Pharmacy, it was fab reading them all.

Today I am sharing with you

our new theme this month at Our creative corner
                                     Halloween Horror

our horror ;-) big Boss Laura says:
'' For this Halloween share with us some horror inspired creations that
are sure to send shivers down our spines.

Bring out your most grotesque stamps and embellishments....
....or perhaps take on the challenge of finding a way to transform pretty stamps into something macabre.
Reach for the grungiest colours and textures....
Come over to the dark side of Halloween ''

My idea was to make a little wooden frame with humor.
She says, I will call you -  yes, my one and only love - I will wait.
and he waits, and waits and ..... and if he is not dead, he is still waiting today ;-)
that's Horror , or ???

How I made this

my first idea, mostly it looks different at the end  ;-)

use black crackle creme + distress ink
(dye ink walnut stain + water in mini mister)

to ink Mr. Skeleton with firstly white Gesso and then distress ink walnut stain

for the background I use a piece old wallpaper, glue it on cardboard with Decoupageglue, spray a little bit water on it, rub it, added Metallic lustre and you will have an altered look

attached thick cardboard with hot glue gun

Forget cute cats and smiling pumpkins....

we want....

are offering the random prize winner

 3. i used old leaves from christmas decoration

Challenge
here lives the man in the moon, I don't know if is sweet ;-) but
I love to use the typical grunge industrial style of Tim Holtz

Simon says stamp Monday Challenge - Love this technique
to use recycle materials: packaging material as corrugated cardboard + old deco leaves lines
