Kerstin is back to share with you a new layout inspiration with a wintery feeling.

I used the paper collection

 Joyous winterdays from Maja Design

I was inspired from the story of this wonderful paper sheet 'Snowball fight'.

 Have you seen this little boy at the lower right edge ? !

Yes it's wintertime, the first snow is being celebrated immensely, 

enjoying building a snowman, ice-skating or having a funny snowball fight.

Always a pleasure and not only for children :-)

oh, the hat flies from his head, he hit the mark ;-)

the Monochrome collection 'Shades of Winterdays' has exactly suitable colors, here I used 'Dusty Teal bs' for the cutting die -lantern-

his favourite teddy bear on the bench sees everything :-)

added with some leftovers, cutting die 'Trees', corrugated cardstock and some snowballs

The time is right for a new inspiration for our DT Scrap FX

New Year has started, what will the future bring us?

 The little boy on my layout looks quite expectantly in this mysterious box.

is also perfectly for edge stamping

I colored  the Fractured time 
chipboards with silver metal paint and used this pieces as frame and highlighted with some paper cut outs like clockfaces and cabochons

 I cut up BBQ Mesh
in several parts and used this as base for the year numbers

isn't this chipboard Suspended time   wonderful?!, I was immediately in love

and decided to use one of my favourite embossing powders

I was inspired to make a new layout inspiration for a boy,  

photo reminds me on a childhood birthday when i got my first teddy,

 today he is 40 years old!

Happy New Year

Hello!

 A very happy New Year to you all, and a warm welcome to the January inspirations
at Maja Design.

I hope that the new year is off to a good start for you!

May it be peaceful, joyful, healthy
and very creative :-) !

I create a very simple layout because the paper alone gives all the magic effect. 

As I saw the wonderful globus in the Denim & Friends Collection I thought, fabulous that's just the right paper sheet for this theme and so cut out this circle from 'Globetrotter' and used 'Sneakers bs' as background paper.

I love the color combi with accents of light brown and some glitter and sparkle elements.

This project was so much fun to create and I love the scene that you can build up, using all this wonderful papers from this collection.

Dinner for One

Hello friends!

Do you know the comedy TV sketch 'Dinner for One' also known as The 90th birthday?

It's very funny and a big tradition in Germany to watch this on New Year's eve every year.

I saw this motif on tissue paper and I admired the wonderful colors and thought very good,

 this must be a new altered project.

- Just for FUN -

I used a lot of DecoArt colors and textures for the frame:

Merry Christmas

Welcome!

I love fireplaces especially on christmas time, it's a wonderful tradition to hang up socks for every family member. Unfortunately I haven't a fireplace and so I decided to make this in a small format.

I used papers from various christmas/ winter collections from Maja Design papers

Some steps and tips for you

As basic an old black wooden frame and the 'Gnistra' paper sheet as wonderful neutral background

added with some torned pieces from old music paper, inked with Distress walnut stain

 Highlight was the fireplace.

I saw some months ago an idea on Pinterest where a simple plastic frame was used,
I was impressed and went in search for the right frame.

I found this in a One Euro Store, the frame was square 

and so I just had to remove the bottom part

really simple, but a cool effect!

Let it snow

Hello!

I'm back with my next christmas/ winter layout :-)

Let it snow , let it snow

When Christmas carols ring out, the air is filled with the aromas of homemade cookies and gingerbreads and the christmas tree is standing, then is the best time of the year. 

And everyone has only one wish 'Let it snow, let it snow... or I'm dreaming of a white christmas' well known christmas songs allover the world

 and it's always a pleasure to hear this songs again and again.

I used a mix of white a pastell blue acrylic paint for the beautiful flourish

the same here

 pastell blue in the lower part and white paint in the upper part

and the lace stamp as border for this chipboard
