Hello Summer

   Hello everyone!

 

I was inspires to create a wooden writing to beginning of summer. 

Love the weathered wooden style it fits perfectly to the feeling of salt water,

 healthy sea air and the fascinating underwater world.

 

You can find a lot of suitable theme shapes in the section

Aquatic & Marine Shapes at Calico Craft Parts,

 

my favourites are coral and seaweed shapes.

 

 

 

 - chose a coral in big size and divided it into individual pieces

 - shapes were primed with white gesso, sprinkled with micropearls,

 then coloured with brown spray paint

-after drying, finished with dry brush technique

BOOK NOOK Magic Forest

 

  Hello everyone!

 

I was inspired again to create a new book nook. 

Maybe you remember the last one- Fairy Forest House,

today a secret door in a mystical forest.

Storage Box with MDF Kit

  

  Hello everyone!

 

Today a new inspiration how versatile and creative you can work 

with the MDF shapes.

I needed new storage boxes for pens, notes, 

business cards and similar things.

Thatswhy I decided to use a very practical box kit,

have used the two parts of the box separately from each other.

I am a big fan of the magic forest theme and so I quickly found the right shapes. 

I love these old whimsical trees and this mystical gothic window. 

Mdf parts can not only be designed in very different coloursand textures, 

but you can also divide them very well and create new ideas with them.

A secret door - Moodboard Dusty Attic

  Hello everyone!

 

Have you seen the latest chipboards - Fairy Doors and Mushroom clusters - ???

Simply magical!!

Love this fantasy theme, it's absolutely inspiring for me.

I created a canvas in mixed media style, worked with dried natural bark,

which represents an old tree with a secret door hidden inside.

I wonder who goes in and out there? 😃

   Hello everyone!

 

 Have you seen the  latest MDF shapes by Calico Craft Parts?

Just the right addition for projects on the theme of  Magic forest.

 

Today a new inspiration with this amazing shapes, I was inspired to create

some ATC's

(Artist trading cards are small miniature works of art,  

unique or small editions that are exchanged or 

collected)

 

 

I played with the new trees, used them as a whole shape, 

but also divided them. This way, hanging roots emerged from the Bonsai 

or another tree was lopped off to grow a wildflower afterwards.

Hello everyone!

 

 I was inspired to create a new mixed media layout in weathered wooden sea style. 

A paper from 49 and Market was a perfect background, added some leftovers

 from structure papers in layering technique and chose some suitable ocean elements 

from the rich and beautiful section Beach, Fishing, Nautical 

 

 The blue/brown colour scheme is perfect for vintage motifs,

 our dog has exactly the right coat colour 😀

 

 I have kept all the chipboard in shades from white to brown. 

and just played with different textures and gloss effects.

For the lettering I used brown embossing powder which creates a slight shine. 

The seaweed was only painted with brown acrylic paint and is matt, 

other ocean elements were painted with white acrylic paint 

and micropearls were sprinkled into the still wet paint.

Moonlight shadows

 

   Hello everyone!

 

 Have you seen the  latest MDF shapes by Calico Craft Parts?

- enchanting moons and old gnarled trees - 

 

Just the right addition for projects on the theme of Magic forest.

 

I was inspired to create a shadow frame,

meaning I used a canvas from backside, 

glued a 30 x 30 scrappaper on it

and  have torn a part out of the middle.

Behind you will discover a mysterious old castle, 

which is framed by these beautiful old trees.
