Our January challenge is, as usual...

 

Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

We welcome all types of projects (except digitally created) and encourage everyone to join us each month, whether this is your very first make, or you are an experienced maker, and share your creations. Show us your tags, cards, canvas, Artist Trading Cards/Coins, art journal, altered objects - whatever you can imaging that fits our steampunk/industrial theme. We are in awe of your creative imaginations and use of materials, and look forward to each challenge to see where your creative muse took you. 

 I was inspired to create a wooden sign. 

The way to a new creative year in the Magic Laboratory, where you can find the important ingredients  for a new project  - Ideas - Heart - Hope - Brave .

 The basis was a black background with gesso, then a crackle medium (Weathered Wood from DecoArt) and above  a thick layer of Americana Chalky Finish Paint 'Vintage'.

 here I used the cutting dies from Sizzix T. Holtz Bigz 'Cauldron' and Thinlits 'Laboratory'
