Pirates Adventure - Altered Book

Welcome creative friends!

I love it to create  books in Altered Art, and to tell stories with it.

It's always fascinating to work in combination with 2D and 3D effects.

I worked with MDF shapes, outcast's from silicone moulds

and cutting dies.

I'm a big fan of all the Pirates of Carribean adventures,

they inspire me again and again.

Galleon Boat

reminds me of 'Black Pearl' rising from the sea.

Home Decor Sunken Light with 13arts

Welcome creative friends!

It's not new I love fascinating underwater worlds and I love it to try new ideas.
I created a new home decor piece with illumination
in grunge style with a touch of Steampunk.

It's a mix of outcast's making with moulds and airdrying clay,
real starfish, handmade corals
combined with texture and faux rust effects.

illuminated effect with wire light string

 how I started

have used a drop formed acrylic ornament as  base
a starfish as rack, a MDF panel as foundation

Summer Home Decor with MDF shapes

Welcome creative friends!

Summertime and vintage feelings

I was inspired to create an upcycling project and a maritim picture frame

was born.

It's a combination of MDF shapes, old fabric leftovers

and nature elements.

 How I began

used  an old wooden circle panel as base
attached 4 pieces of jute ribbon to make it look like a lifebelt
added 4 beach inspired MDF shapes,
which were partially divided and cut to size
should be an old weathered character
so I only used a dry brush technique with white gesso

Ice cream time with July Moodboard at Dusty Attic

Welcome creative friends!

Today a new inspiration for our beautiful Moodboard this month,

where you can find a lot of pastel colours.

I wanted to try a new idea again and so I created a summer canvas

with a ice cream cone in the middle

of a mixed media layout.

Yes it's summertime here, very sunny and hot and the best time for ice cream

the more the better or ?!,

if you would not always find that so quickly on the hips again 😏😀

some details

I created an ice cream cone with some remains of the Bali border,

another trim as the upper edge and for the cream toping a trimmed flourish.

Photo into the centre  and now everything just had to be beautifully presented.

Underwater treasures with 13arts

Welcome creative friends!

It's summertime here and everyone dreams of holidays by the sea.
I love fascinating underwater worlds.

When I discovered the beautiful turtle motif on a paper card set A6
from the collection 'Down Under' at 13arts
I was inspired to create a mixed media layout.

Used it as center piece and took the colors as inspiration
 and continued them
on matching chipboards
and on the blue background paper
(collection Sunrise)

Maritim Tag

Welcome creative friends!

I was motivated to create a sea inspired tag with a touch of Steampunk.

Love underwater fantasies, one of my favourite themes in summer time.

Used one of the very versatile tags from Calico Craft Parts,

always a good stable base for mixed media projects.

You can experiment and create with water and other liquids

 without deforming the background,

I always appreciate that.
